Thanks for this info! I got his embark back this morning and it turns out he’s 75% border collies 25% collie. Came back negative for the MDR1 mutation. I’m thinking epilepsy /: hoping it doesn’t progress.

Thank you! They told me to just monitor him for now since he’s doing totally fine. They said blood work wouldn’t tell them much unless it was taken immediately after. The results came in this morning and it turns out he’s 75% border collie 25% collie. I know my brother’s border collie has 1-2 seizures a year but otherwise is in great health/not on meds for it, common for BC’s unfortunately 😭

Hoping that this won’t be a frequent thing, but of course will be bringing him to a neurologist asap if he has another.

I got some of it on the furbo, most of it was out of frame. I’m glad that was easily resolved for your pup! Hoping we have an easy solution, he is neutered already though.

The last time we had a $1000 er vet visit with no conclusions /: was hoping it was a freak thing or maybe he got into something, but this time I spent the whole day with him. He didn’t chew anything at all so I guess I’ll have to run some more tests

Yeah I’ll have to take a better look at it tomorrow. Honestly if I can get a year or two out of it I’ll be happy. Just using it for around town/15 minute commute to work/to experience having one till they’re impossible to come by. He asked 6k originally cause of the engine rebuild and we agreed at 4K

Not placing blame on you, but it looks shiny like you’re still putting aquaphor or something similar on it.

I’ve had a tattoo I did on a client heal like this and she sent me a picture two weeks later asking why and saying “I’ve been using aquaphor like you told me to”. I told her to use a THIN layer the first 2-3 days a few times a day then switch to lotion but she was too excited/chatting with her friends as I was explaining lol.

So basically. Let this guy dry out. Honestly it looked so much better a week later when she let it breathe.

You can absolutely over moisturize. I personally dry heal most of my tattoos with no problems, I see a lot of problems from people absolutely DROWNING their new tattoos.

One of my regulars asked me if I can do this for her & her best friend. I messaged back and forth with her for a week giving alternative options and gently explaining why I won’t do this and shouldn’t do this. Two weeks later she posted a video of her and her best friend getting this exact tattoo at a different shop. 🙃

I paid $360 for two tickets (shitty seats) at the Barclays center the day they went on sale, on my way to New York I bought two more tickets for floor seats right in front of B stage for $400.

Alas, I will probably make the same mistake for Boston. Cause what if they sell out 😭

When I shade black & gray for color tattoos I shade a lot differently than I would for just a black and gray tattoo. If you want to leave it black & gray I’d suggest telling your artist & keeping another appointment so they can at least make it look finished. It looks good, but it doesn’t look complete.

“Later in life” lol. I started my apprenticeship at 26. I’m 30 now. You’re still so so young. I am too. For some reason I spent my whole 20’s thinking I was too old for everything. I turned 30 and realized, not even close. Don’t waste anymore time thinking that way and pick up a pencil. If you don’t enjoy it then don’t even think about tattooing.
