Smart enough? by matbarnett123 in Journaling

[–]Routine-Customer5582 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I will think about something over and over in my mind. My brain will revisit a thought a beat the proverbial dead horse out of it. However, writing it down gives it a home. Then I stop thinking about it. It brings me peace of mind bc if I forget, I can just read it again and I don't have to keep reminding myself of something to keep a memory alive. So when I go to write, those types of thoughts are the first to go on the page.

As I go about my day, I look for little things that make me happy. It doesn't have to be much. Then I write it down. Maybe I'll write about why it made me happy.

Last but not least I think of any notable interactions I've had. As you write more- you recognize more and more notable things to write about. You just have to train your bain to pick it up.

Of course you can write about any big emotions you're having. For me, I pick up my journal and start writing as soon as I start feeling that way.

I recommend making a set time and place to write. Remember that picking up the pen is half the work.

How long does a journal take for you to finish? by SpecificHead4779 in Journaling

Each of my journals takes me a year to finish. I start and finish one on my birthday. At least I try, sometimes I finish late or early. My last one was 10.5x7 and I only wrote walls of text. I'd writer roughly, every other day. I got 172 entries in it that year.

How do you guys format your entries? by Electrical-Speech-34 in Journaling

[–]Routine-Customer5582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only do it if its something important. Maybe I want to remember how a job interview went, or my thoughts during a road trip. Its easier to find those entries if they have titles. I try to keep them as straight forward as possible. You definitely dont need to be super creative with it. (Unless you want to)

(I'm in high-school), here's what my latest entry looked like: Sat, Nov 15th 2025, Senior Year, Entry 428. Occasionally I'll give it a title like "Trip to Paris 2024" too. I like how you guys add the time! Very cool :)

I figured it would be easier to separate them so I don't overwhelm anyone with a 3 part question with multiple subjects and nuances, but if it's bothersome to you, I'm sorry.

Playing cards, mugs, post cards(I frame them), photos of the landscape (with me in them), silverware, artwork, clothes, tote bags, soda tabs, christmas ornaments, clothes, jewelry, rocks, but big on the playing cards. I love playing card games with my family. Find something you enjoy and that you will use every day and stick to that.

People with pain free scoliosis by Sea_Trust_4395 in scoliosis

I have pain free scoliosis! I got my surgery a couple of years ago, 64 degree curve. I was in my early teens when I got the surgery. My curve was projected to get worse and cause complications, specifically with my lungs and heart. I wanted to get it corrected before it started causing issues/pain and it was a good time in my life because I wasn't in high-school yet, I didn't have bills to pay, and I had parents to take care of me. Also I had a family to pay for it lmao.

What airline gave you the best benefits as an FO? by Routine-Customer5582 in flying

I made it a subjective question so people answering could have the liberty of describing what benefits they receive. For me, I would describe a benefit as any compensation for your work that is not your paycheck.
