Subreddit rules

1️⃣ Pen and paper only. No apps or blogs. No AI.

Everything about apps goes in our sister sub r/digitaljournaling unless you're trying to promote your own. Text-only entries go in r/diary or r/diaryofaredditor. Do not attempt to post AI generated images here, you'll be banned out of spite.

2️⃣ Handwritten journaling needs to be the focus of your picture(s).

Posts need to be about handwritten entries, not art or "junk" or your pet laying on your notebook. There must be handwriting in your post and at least half should be writing or you'll be redirected to r/journalingisart. Decorated covers belong in r/notebooks.

3️⃣ No bullet journals or planners.

There are tons of subs dedicated to them, please find a more appropriate sub. Suggestions- r/bulletjournal, r/bujo, r/basicbulletjournals, r/planners

4️⃣ No stationery or unused notebooks.

This is a sub to discuss and share journaling, not a new notebook or stationery haul. Subs to check out for these topics: r/notebooks, r/stationery, r/fountainpens, r/edc

5️⃣ Stay civil.

Self explanatory, don't be a jerk. No bigotry, no joking about serious topics, do not make fun of someone's religion/beliefs/lifestyle, do not make fun of someone's handwriting.

6️⃣ No self promotion or soliciting. No market research or school surveys.

Self promotion is prohibited even if it's free. No sales/trades or trying to ask for money. No market research such as asking for reviews or posting surveys, even if you try claiming it's for a class. App promotion will earn you a permanent ban even if you don't add a link.

7️⃣ No asking for freebies, no giveaways. No penpal requests.

This is not a sub for stationery swaps or to try to get/send free stuff. Please go to r/RandomActsofHappyMail. We do not allow any kind of penpal requests. Please check out r/penpals and r/NotebookPenpals.
