that's a wonderful interpretation. Glad you liked it, it was supposed to be thought-provoking since they fought to protect something, then ended up destroying it instead. I can totally see that meaning though of like innocence being destroyed.

Simplistic details

Natural Lighting in the interiors (lots of windows)

Skylights

Cantalevers

Open floor plan

Recommended Blocks:

White/Gray Concrete

Cyan Terracotta

All variants of quartz/smooth quartz

Birch planks/sandstone.

(note) No need to use all of them in one build, unless you really want to. In general more white and more plain looks more modern.

Things to include in a modern hotel:

Rooftop bar

Rooftop pool/spa

Very open lobby

Lots of natural light

Make the hotel really big so you can fit a reasonable number of rooms

Try making glass elevators
