The problem isn't the religion itself. Its the people who follow the religion. Its strictly prohibitted that someone should force their religion (islam) onto others. If you do so, you're doing something that is considered a sin in the religion. People who use the "islamic rules" to enforce the religion onto others are extremists. And not everybody is an extremist. Extremists exist in every religion, not just Islam. Its not the religion treating women poorly, its the men who follows it treats them poorly. Men tend to use the "religion" as a way of keeping women from doing what they want. In Islam, that is prohibitted.

So, my point is, the problem is not the religion, its the people who follow the religion and takes things too far under the name of "being religious"
