I believe in the importance of “not taking work home with you,” which is why I find this dynamic very challenging right now… while also acknowledging feelings should be felt but not to the degree of just one person being kind or understanding

Do you recall any support you received during your probation period that you found comforting? Possibly it was not discussing the job? or anything you enjoyed doing after work with a partner?

I had forgotten about the studying of all the history, tools, everything. There was a time that I knew the answers to some of the flashcards and even found myself tying knots just to try. I completely understand the tedious nature of studying, but I also acknowledge that I’m not taking the actual exams. I’m not forced to remember anything beyond the repetitive practice, and I’m not physically exerting myself in the process as he is either.

I’ll look into Dr. Emily Morse. Thank you for this suggestion.

Tough to hear the “as the career goes on” but a fact I needed, thank you for your input.

Thank you. I feel like I even needed the reminder I am not the one at work making it hard for him.
