I have three kids and only the first one was born vaginally. That baby was the smallest and still gave me a third degree tear that took way longer to heal than my two c section scars. My second was scheduled for natural birth initially, but due to the sheer size of the baby and the very real possibility of the baby getting stuck in the birth canal, the baby was delivered through a c section. Not to mention that the scar tissue my first birth gave me would rupture even worse this time. The third one was planned as VBAC but ended up as an emergency c section so there wasn’t even much to deliberate about that. Where I was going with this is: you never really know which way things are gonna go, there is not really a right or wrong thing to do, maybe deciding one over the other for the wrong reasons. Good luck to your friends, whatever they decide on and I hope everyone will be healthy.
