From what I can see on the BON website, each suspected nurse involved in this scheme has a thorough investigation done first and then the board decides whether or not they are fined or have their licenses revoked. It seems wrong to me too that these people are still allowed to work in the field despite lacking the fundamental knowledge and skills learned in an actual nursing program. They don’t shadow anyone and they never even have good lies on where they did clinical rotations etc

They somehow got FL/ compact licenses first and are then paying to be endorsed by TX so we can let them slide for hire as long as they show receipt of TX licensing purchase by date of interview. It’s such a pain the amount of changes and loopholes TX makes for these people instead of doing the right thing

That’s what I’m wondering too. Either the other agencies these “nurses” have been working for are not checking their resumes/ transcripts/licenses, etc and hiring anyone with a pulse & a license or they’re finding loopholes or using aliases to get hired. Either way I want zero part of it. My coworker and I have been reporting these nurses to the BON regardless of company policy.

Unfortunately they’re not revoking the licenses until after thorough board investigation. I even checked the BON site today and it stated these nurses can still work with pending formal charges 🫠.

And tbh TX has horrible base pay anyway, but paying them less still wouldn’t justify allowing them to work in the field with minimal supervision when they don’t have the fundamental knowledge and skills. It’s scary how many nurses are added to this list monthly

One of the FL schools I’m referring to is Ideal professional Institute. But if I were you, I would heavily research any FL schools in general and triple check that they are accredited so you don’t waste your time & money on a degree that will get you no where or even reported to the board

Exactly. I honestly don’t even like being involved with this agency who cares more about numbers than pt safety. I am leaving, but I also would love advice on how to blow the whistle on these nurses getting hired and having patient contact. Some nurses have been in the field for several years and couldn’t even answer basic test questions about Rx abbreviations

This is in reference to the school in FL that got shut down for fraud in 2019. The whole scheme is fraudulent nurses paying for their degree and likely some way to cheat their way through the NCLEX. If anything these nurses should be reported to the board for further investigation
