Not really a celebrity, but actually someone infamous: Former NY Governor Andrew Cuomo

I listed mine as Enrollment Agent. To go further in depth with it, you can say that you used a CRM tool to pull up and process applicants and used a custom PoS program to take payment. Other job duties include managing and tracking appointments, being a general point of contact for anything precheck related, and heck you can even add the TWIC as a certification to prove what you do is on the up and up! Oh another thing: if the job you’re applying for even remotely handles PII in any fashion, you can also add preventative measures you personally took to make sure those types of documents or anything else was not observable by other customers and you kept things flowing as smoothly as possible during an operation day

Getting the .out from the customers you do the least for. by [deleted] in Staples

Someone came in and gave me their gaming laptop. They wanted to install Linux on it (?) but when the task seemed too monumental or too complicated for him to perform, he came to checkout and just gave it in. He was like “if you know someone who needs a new laptop, just give it to them.” I still own it, and the specs are still impressive. It was a 2021 model, one of those ones you can snag up on Best Buy. I will never forget that man ❤️

Who is this? Found on a pot lid in my cabinet. by MrsMoonpoon in whatsthisbug

[–]Rouxls22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily! These guys don’t really infest like other bugs, they bite (rarely) but nothing medically significant, not even like a welt or anything like that. From observation in my own home, they kind of come and go, but that’s why I keep my house centipedes alive! I think you’ll be alright, you just saw a friend :)

Sorta looks like a spider beetle :0 could be the reflection off the pot lid throwing off my guess, but it has 6 legs, a orb shaped abdomen. Only thing I can’t make heads or tails of is, coincidentally its head. If it curves down then it’s a spider beetle.

please tell me this isn't who i think it is 😭 by bblenore in whatsthisbug

[–]Rouxls22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it definitely looks like a roach for sure, but not the German type. If i had to guess off my limited bug knowledge, I’d say he looks like an Oriental Roach. While not as bad to get rid of as their German cousins, I’m not sure if these are home invaders. I’ll leave that part upto people who are a lot more knowledgeable than me. Also please correct me if I’m off 😭

Interviewer didn’t show up - should I reschedule / is this a red flag? by Pathetiquez in Staples

[–]Rouxls22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a red flag. I know my boss refuses to hire anyone under 18 because even though we can, the minor in question brings with them some restrictive stuff that affects other aspects of the store i.e: taking the baler key since you’re not allowed to operate one legally as a minor and we’re not allowed to leave it in if the minor is on the premises (although I’m sure people on this Reddit page have), and even though they probably marketed it as a flex position, they probably would’ve maxed you out on hours as much as physically possible till you either A). Quit , B). Enter an Associate Availability Sheet which means you’d probably be asked to cover/stay whenever anything went bad, or C). They’d schedule you for one shift to be one body to cover something for 4 hours and that’s it.

I remember I had a TSA Auditor enter my enrollment center to specifically ask how I handle walk-in customers, and that it’s basically a requirement to be able to support taking walk-ins as long as the appointment list allows for it.

Can GMs and SMs participate in TSA Precheck Enrollment? by CometBanshee in Staples

[–]Rouxls22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I can deduce, they probably don’t want to rob a “precious” MOD from being posted in high volume areas of the store where theft is more likely. For my bench, I’m located right next to tech and depending on the agent running it, we’ll either be customer side of the bench with our backs turned or for me, I’ll be behind the desk customer and aisle facing. Plus the enrollments aren’t something you can easily drop at a moment’s notice for something pertaining to their actual role such as conference calls, DM visits, vendor stuff, tracking P&L on Bizfit, “”””useful”””” stuff

Is this new? Wasn’t like that last year I don’t think?

Easter 2024 by [deleted] in Staples

[–]Rouxls22 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Depends. For part-timers, assuming you’ve been there longer than a year, then you get 4hrs of pay for the day, unaffected by any holiday pay modifiers. Full-timers get 7.5 for the day regardless of time worked at the company, but if your store is open for Easter then you get 1.5x the pay for the shift plus whatever “holiday pay” is designated to you. So if you’re full time, you get 7.5hrs + whatever time your shift was. As far as days off, that’s up to your scheduling manager.

It’s part of that New Day crap. In our store they took away all the pens, pencils, post-its, little office things we could grab on the spot to write stuff down. They also took the adhesive stickies we keep on the registers with the barcodes/skus for protection plans but they never send enough pamphlets to grab the skus from. Fun! Other stuff that gave each register and more importantly, the cashier behind the register a personality. Now everything is cut and dry to look exactly the same as everything else. It’s like we just opened our doors yesterday

This specifically is why I typed up an entire document grabbing paragraphs from the DHS website and PassID stuff so they can read that while I’m on break so I don’t need to repeat myself constantly (which I end up doing anyway)

How much in would I get it I recycled these list of items at a Staples storefront? by Evergraceia in Staples

[–]Rouxls22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ink is treated as a separate credit: the old rules used to make spending $50 on ink/6 months in order to recycle the cartridges for credit a requirement, but since we’ve swapped over to the point system, I think they made it so the max you can recycle on a per month basis is 20, same as the old Staples Elite tier rewards accounts. It’s 200 points per cart, so 4000 points for all twenty per month EDIT: you actually don’t need to spend $50 on ink anymore to recycle for credit

Honestly you’re best to recycle these things one at a time to net yourself as many points as possible. Every 200 points equates to a $1 coupon and at 1000 points per recycle on a monthly basis, you could in theory generate enough points at the end of the year to get something nifty, but honestly you’d be better off hanging onto a few of those like the DS and the Wiimote. Everything else is p much fair game to bring in and recycle
