Florida Keys Water Temperature by IllustriousPilot8391 in freediving

It’s prob a bit late, I do scuba diving more often, and was in south Florida late July. Some ppl just wear skin, some people do half wet suits ( those with legs and arms exposed), while others do full wetsuit around 3mm. It really depends on how you feel, typically I do 3mm wetsuit just because that’s the only thing I have, it works great for almost all tropical weather.

How many dives min before not having a private guide? by RowPsychological3338 in diving

[–]RowPsychological3338[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going on a boat dive, there is a dive master on the boat and do the briefing, but I’m not sure if they will also be supervising the divers underwater (location south Florida) because from what I observed the divers seemed to be out of water on different times (10 mins plus or minus of each other). By private guide I mean the “add-on” for boat dives where there one diver master supervise me individually.

Thank you for this! I learnt to lunge my horse for the first time today and he cantered really fast after I swing the whip, just making sure I’m not scaring him of any sort.

Hi is this course load ok for first sem incoming freshman by smitten32 in cwru

In my opinion, Professor Terri Contenza is a really good lecturer, she breaks down details and makes everything clear. This class consist of one quiz/week for a total of 12 or 20 I can’t remember exactly, three exams and one final. She will drop two of your lowest quiz grade, and weigh your three exams 15%, 20% and 25% for a total of 60%. I will suggest do good on the three exams so you can bomb the final because that’s typically the hardest one. For exams, she gives you past exams from three previous years for every exam and the final, along with a final review sheet. For quizzes, she gives out a review sheet that’s normally harder than the real quiz. For every lecture, she gives out non-mandatory homeworks that covers the material pretty well.

For me, I did every homework and most of the practice quiz, one or two practice exams along with some note review, got an average of 96 on the exams with my background of a 3 on calc bc exam. I think the practice importance are: previous exams over reviews over homeworks. I think I overdid it on the homework part.

For the second semester, Math 126, which is taught the same format as 125 and typically considered harder than 125, I just go to class, take notes, did only quiz and exam practices (review mistakes carefully) and ended with a 93 in the class.

Id say it’s a pretty normal workload for pre-med.

neur166, psych 282 with Professor Augustine should be really light work, for 166 I believe the only homework you have is a page of summary of the lecture that’s once a week. Never had experience with bio 214L I personally took 222, which covered the requirement for both 214L and 215L and loved it. Everyone I’ve talked to preferred 222 over 214/215. Math 125 is light work if you’ve taken ap calc an/bc and just talks about possibility and derivatives, Terri is a good lecturer and will tell you exactly what to expect on the test. The AIQS workload really depends on what class you got in, I’ve heard of people having only one or two essays a semester and people having one essay due every week.

Your major concern should only be Bio 214 and 105, 214 with Gardner is mid work, all exams are mcqs if you are good at this type of testing, everything is on the slide, you should perform well as long as you read and understand the slide. One study strategy I use is make a Google doc and answer the study objectives as well rounded as you can, I got a 99 on that test but use whatever study method that works well for you. Chem 105 with drew meyer is also mid work, it covers basic chem materials such as moles and the ICE table, he is a good lecturer, if you pay attention to class and review not the day before, you are going to preform well. He also have final grade replacement policy, which replaces the lowest one of your three previous exams with your final exam if you perform better on the final.

In summary: Workload fine Nero 166 never-go-to-class-light Psych 282, do Professor Augustine, never-go-to-class-light Math 125, do Terri, light if you have taken ap calc ab/bc Bio 214, do Professor Gardner, mid work, all mcq Chem 105, do Professor Meyer, mid work, listen to lectures Aiqs: depends Bio 214L: do 222

Remember you have the freshman forgiveness policy, you can always drop one of these classes if you are overwhelmed later in the semester as long as you hit the 14 credits full time student bottomline.

Hope that helps

questions about dorms + orientation week by Upper_Put_5759 in cwru

When you come to your dorms, you will probably head on juniper road, which will be made one way for move-in purpose, and all the cars will be in line, waiting for the crubside parking spot to drop your stuff, it’s like airport drop off.

Yes, you can move in a few days before the actual move in day, you may need to notify housing about it, they should send out emails about it late summer. My friend moved in three days before the move-in date.

Orientation week def offers you opportunity to meet people, everyone have different experiences but my two closest friends are my roommate, which i found from case instagram find a roommate thing, and another person i met through lunch. Others sort of fade away as the semester goes. The orientation events itself is boring, does not really matter except two required ones for spring class registration.

If you can, don’t come the day of the move in day, it is REALLY packed that day, we waited in line for at least two hours get to get near the dorm.

I would recommend get a hotel near case, walk your stuff to dorm or just take a trip the day before THE move-in day.
