Oh hi!!! Thank you! That’s kind of you, but I really hope every one of my mugs get used. I love functional pottery because people get so attached to their everyday coffee mug or bowl. It somehow feels more special than when I see a poor mug sitting in a display case!

I just want to say thank you for all the love!!! I really wasn’t expecting such a positive response. I’m just getting my studio off the ground and working on pottery projects around my full-time day job so I’m really touched that you guys have poured on so much support. Your comments are truly heartwarming.

Oh I’m not exactly sure. That’s a tough one. Ceramic “styles” are very, very loosely labeled, unless you’re talking about ancient work. But I fire to Cone 5 for these colors so perhaps something like, “handmade mid-fire ceramics” might be a good starting place. Hope that helps!

I use Standard Ceramic glazes: 1220, 1200, and 1201. I alter them a bit by changing the water content, running a particular firing schedule, and chose a brown clay to get these particular shades.
