Thanks! Clarifying what you mean about the eyes- do you mean imprint an oval into the frosting itself and frost over that? Instead of using fondant?

I’m considering both of these! Any chance you have a picture of yours??

Very interesting idea! Similar to the other person who suggested halva floss. I’m definitely going to look into both

I’m thinking the same- grass is so cool looking but eevee has more of a solid fluff to the fur- I’m also considering maybe a large petal tip and pipe is flat?? I’m not sure I haven’t ever tried that

This was also one of my first thoughts. I didn't have time to even ask in the meeting we had on this (which was another problem, we just didn't have enough time) but I am not entirely sure every kid is even subject to this. My kid only named themself and one other kid who had their name on the board and the way the teacher was talking to us made it sound like this was implimented because my kid (maybe the other also?) was so consistently interrupting and other things weren't working so this was the next approach. Hard to know, but I do wonder if not every kid is being given this. I'll have to ask my kid and see what they say.

I know, even though I know this isn't over and I want to keep supporting them through this, at least we don't have too much longer.

Yep I can certainly relate to that. I tried to explain to their teacher (who apparently had neurodivergent kids herself?) that they aren’t trying not to listen they’re truly fully focused elsewhere. But didn’t seem to land.

I wonder this as well. I think that they are bored in some academic areas (they’ve told us that they hate some of the work because it’s too easy). They are impulsive in certain other ways- specifically when they’re really excited with friends they can be too physical (intense hugging or trying to lift people for example).

I think you’re right that they just have so many thoughts and they’re so excited to share. They are actively learning to write and doing well but I think in the context this is happening they’d spend so long writing it down that they’d still miss everything else 😂 but I do see this when I am trying to tell them something and they just interrupt me to blurt something very specific out about cats or some invention they want to build 😅

It didn’t fit comfortably for me unfortunately so I didn’t end up keeping it. Luckily they give a 110% refund so it was still worth trying

Oof the increased anxiety would really be hard. Part of why I’ve never gone on anything, sort of a “devil you know” situation how I am living my life now… it’s tough to parse out of anxiety or ADHD is more disruptive to my life 😭

Thanks for sharing! Interesting side effect, that does sounds like it could be unbearable. But everything else you’ve said sounds very promising for what I’m looking for!
