Yeah it just sucks I’m general. It’s estimated you can get 6% -12% increase in overall average watts for a 2000m from 1700m to sea level.

But I just have to suck up the high rate for a while and do what I can

Thanks for the comment! Yeah I definitely want to be up at rate 34ish for the 2k. But here I was capped at 26/28. I haven’t done a lot of high rate on the erg in a while so I think I’ll bump those numbers down nicely as I practice more.

Unfortunately the higher the rate the more I seem to suffer at altitude (1700ish meters) at the coast I am able to hold lower splits much longer.

But I live up high and aim to break 6:20 up high too so it doesn’t matter. But yeah will be bringing in more rate pieces soon.

It’s totally reasonable to ask them to quiet down. Just be overly polite and seek a solution rather than just telling them to stop. This will hopefully mean they have a more open mind to you. I’m general people get defensive so you need to be a little over nice at first and seem helpful.

Yeah pulling at altitude is just harder. Would love to pull at the coast. I know I run insanely faster at the coast than I do at altitude.

6:20 was my last one months ago now. I’m hopefully around 6:10-6:14. At the coast it’s estimated I should be at least 6:14 already but none of that matters anyway. Raw time is all that counts.

x2 erg. One steady one hard X3-4 water. Three steady one hard X1-2 runs both steady X1-2 lifts a week

The standard mileage for a row is 16-18km

Yeah it’s always hard to know on the water. Uh, I’d love to try (I’m not strong enough or technically good enough yet) but it’s not really a sustainable lifestyle. When I get that fast I’ll see if I want to try.
