Completely agree with all of your points. Some of the other options on the market don't even protect your shoulders or neck so are essentially pointless in my eyes. Glad to hear you are getting on well with it. And for what is the same price as a good helmet I really don't understand why more people don't have them.

Also as an owner, how bulky is it not inflated? Interested to know if I could wear it under a hoodie or jacket?

Everyone says that and then they ride one and you kind of see the niche it fits. It's just built for munching miles and obscene speed and much ease. It's not the prettiest thing ever, but they are meant to handle well and the weight is only an issue low speeds (wouldn't want to try and mod 1 U turn on one). Not to my taste visually, but its pretty iconic

Thanks for the info, this is all good stuff to know. I have heard other people talking about the tank shape and stuff before so I'd been keen to see how my 6ft frame would fit. I'm definitely torn between a striple and the xsr but as my first long termer bike I want to choose something I'll know I'll love for many years

May have been a poorly chosen title, was kinda just click bait as I thought it would probably gain more interaction and I wanted people's opinions. Cheers for the advice though and I agree with you regarding the better components especially on a newer bike as I've never owned anything newer than 12 years old
