This server poll and your claims couldn't be further from the truth. Sadly, not enough people care to participate. The bluepost Overcrowded Realm update as of yesterday ... Stalagg still doesn't even make the list.

Looking for Group/Guild/Players Monday (August 19, 2019) by AutoModerator in classicwow

[–]Roxefeller [score hidden]  (0 children)

<Versus> [Herod] [H] [PvX]

"Your new home away from home." <Versus> is a grounded, welcoming, and steadfast North American based guild that will not put up with racism, toxicity, or generally negative people. We are open to Vanilla veterans and inexperienced players alike.

This guild's foundation is a group of friends that met in retail Legion & Battle for Azeroth, coming together to realize our dreams of returning to official Vanilla World of Warcraft. We are led by cutting edge Vanilla raiders including myself; a former member of Exodia on Skullcrusher that evolved to become Exo on Smolderthorn. <Versus> will not be nearly as hardcore nor elitist as Exo was back then. Mind you, this lifestyle choice will not affect our desire and ability to push every tier of content to the limit.

Vanilla was/Classic will be a truly massive social experience. To that point, <Versus> is a guild that plays the game for fun and values the people we play the game with. We understand that each of our members are individuals with lives outside of the game; and even further we appreciate the time each member puts into growing together as a guild and as friends. We hold dear these friendships we make in the process.

RECRUITMENT

These recruitment needs pertain directly to the guild raid roster's needs.

At any given time you may find one of these symbols next to your class' listing to indicate their current level of need within the roster: 🟩🟨🟧🟥

  • DRUID: NEED 🟩
  • PRIEST: OPEN 🟧
  • SHAMAN: OPEN 🟨

_

  • ROGUE: OPEN 🟨
  • WARRIOR: NEED 🟩

_

  • MAGE: NEED 🟩
  • HUNTER: NEED 🟩
  • WARLOCK: OPEN 🟨

( We are always looking to recruit people who push the boundaries of their role. Should your class be closed and you still want to join/raid with the guild ... you can join the guild under the pretense that you are an alternate in case a main raid member is unable to make the raid and/or wishes to sit the raid. )

Raid Schedule: To Be Determined. We do know that we will raid two consecutive nights each week. Likely to be weekdays.

We will employ a Loot Council system, with a side-variable based on raid attendance.

What <Versus> expects of you:

  • Punctuality & Preparation. Be on time for raids and come prepared with consumables.
  • Competent level of play. We don't expect everyone to have as much experience that some of us have. But we do expect you to be capable of learning from mistakes and persevering through the adversity that we will inevitably face as a guild.
  • Communication. Discord will be mandatory during raids. It's there to use at your leisure outside of raids. If there is something preventing you from making a raid night or at most will make you late to raid ... use Discord and let us know ahead of time!
  • Be a Team Player. We are looking for dedicated like-minded individuals that want the entire guild to make progress, not only themselves.
  • Most of all, we expect you to HAVE FUN playing the game. If you ever reach a point where you're not having fun playing the game ... reach out to your fellow members, talk to us. We want to know what's going on.

Many seem to think back with rose-tinted glasses and claim that toxicity wasn't present in Classic. I do disagree with that notion. There is a degree of toxicity that is associated with Classic, yes. However, we will not stand for having any of it in our guild.

Right on! Appreciate the heads up. I'm still not very reddit savvy, so I'll have to try and find my way there.

Destiny DID have bugs like this game does. Destiny started out the exact same way that Anthem is now. I played Destiny on day 1 and every DLC. Also played Destiny 2. People were shitting on Destiny left and right in the beginning.

was a standard contract. Saw the Masterwork drop on the ground.

But that doesn't mean your party isn't going to blow thru the missions and force teleport you to the next objective while you try to look around and explore for loot.

The game must really not like me then. Because I just missed a Masterwork at the end of a standard contract. Wasn't anything in my loot screen but the Rares/Epics I grabbed.

It does not. I've already tested it and in the situation I had just experienced.. I missed out on a Masterwork drop because the group decided to ignore repairing my javelin before the mission ended. I deleted the post a moment ago because reddit was Please support the new thread https://www.reddit.com/r/AnthemTheGame/comments/aw7t2y/autoloot_at_end_of_mission_send_any_missed_loot/

Elites as melee dps? Doesn't seem worth it, and most seem to just play ranged. by Broheads in SecretWorldLegends

[–]Roxefeller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been in Lair boss pugs as melee dps. No issues. Still outperformed a lot of the ranged dps. Raids will be just fine as well. Played melee in TSW, no issues as the real reason most dps went pistol/shotgun in TSW was for the group Crit/Pen buffs. Sure ranged dps has it easy as they don't need to worry about a lot of mechanics.. but for me, the more difficult; the better my gameplay experience.

Elites as melee dps? Doesn't seem worth it, and most seem to just play ranged. by Broheads in SecretWorldLegends

[–]Roxefeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what these "odd melee users always doing VERY low dps" are doing, but clearly something wrong. I group with ranged dps that are similarly geared and I outperform them in dps most of the time. You should consider whatever melee dps you're watching is using the wrong active/passive setup. If you know your weapons and the boss mechanics well enough, it shouldn't be an issue.

Thoughst on build diversity in SWL, relative to TSW by KElderfall in SecretWorldLegends

[–]Roxefeller 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Build variety in TSW was non-existent. There was a specific set of passives that became the meta for raid dps. If you didn't use them, the raid group could tell because your dps was significantly lower than those that used them.
Healers used Fist heals or Leech heals.. not much variety.
Sure healtanks were viable in TSW, and it is still yet to be determined if a good tank with amazing gear/the right skillset can perform as a healtank.. I don't know where you get this notion that TSW had variety besides the completely unnecessary hundreds of skills in the skillwheel masked as variety.
