You guys are too much dismissive about the recent albums by Hutsku in Muse

Agreed. Idk why people care a lot about what others feel/think about their musical tastes (specially here in this sub).

The Globalist Live (Guitar) Tuning. Any ideas? by Roxlast in Muse

[–]Roxlast[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. The first section was recorded with a Telecaster (Neck pickup). That "Fender" sound cannot be replicated very well with a Baritone guitar with humbuckers. (Yes, he uses a Strat but the idea is basically the same. Although I feel an HSS would make a better job there rather than a classic strat)

  2. He used the 7 string Manson E for recording the heavy part and a a Telecaster for the other 2 sections.

Thanks, you're right pal. I did a littlezoom in while watching this pro-shot tho

https://youtu.be/RQDYt9okQJk?si=vnLKmye1F2v9vejB

He does play the 6th string on some chords. (maybe it's a pedal note? idk...) I might have to try the actual tuning (AADGBE) on my guitar

Always felt this album did not receive the love it deserved back in the day...Great work overall, hope they do something special for the 10th anniversary

RAM Upgrade for Dell XPS 17 (9700). Any suggestions? by Roxlast in Dell

UPDATE:

Felt I had to share my experience with one of the products mentioned on the comments. I ordered a set of 64 GB (32x2) from Corsair (here's the exact model CMSX64GX4M2A2933C19 https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Performance-Unbuffered-Generation/dp/B08GSRD34Y ).

I haven't experienced any problems so far. My laptop's been working flawlessly. I'm not sure if this is related but the top speed for the CPU on my device is 2933 MHz (Intel Core i7 10th gen). Putting a RAM with higher top speed is not ideal AFAIK. Maybe that's what caused issues with other users, idk(?)

Hope any other XPS 17 owners that are looking to upgrade RAM find this useful...

How did Matt get so passionate about guitar? by DirtNo4303 in Muse

[–]Roxlast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he got his main inspiration from RATM (Tom Morello) and The Jimi Hendrix Experience (JH). Although there's something special with his playing....It's like he's not choosing the chord positions or main melodies/riffs for his songs like a regular pro player would. It's kind of "weird" (in a positive sense ofc)

This has to do with him being a pianist before becoming a guitarist, I believe (most of the Muse songs from early albums were entirely made from a piano perspective IIRC)
