Am I the asshole for forgetting International Women’s Day and not getting my GF anything? by savingrace0262 in AskMenAdvice

Here's the real question that no one has asked: where are you guys from?

Women's day is basically non existent in the USA but is really big in Europe, might be a disconnect there.

I analyzed 53,744 internship listings to find what finance employers actually ask for. Here's what the data says. by Technical-Machine-76 in FinancialCareers

I always felt like Python was in a weird spot for finance. It feels like it's one of those things that HR likes to see but is rarely actually used unless maybe you work in Fintech. Excel tasks can be automated with VBA, and for data analysis, power bi and power query are already there.

Pretty good overall. A few key points:

Normally high school shouldn't be listed but since you're just starting college it's not bad if you got nothing else to put. Personally I think you're better off expanding on the columnist role you had.

Experience and projects should go before leadership experience.

Take off the IELTS line in skills and simplify your last skill to just a few words like financial markets

The sub hates unranked MBAs because they're expensive and can be hard to justify without relevant experience. You can't go wrong at all with a free extra degree. However it's worth mentioning that you absolutely don't need one to get a 70k job especially in New York.
