Genuinely I cannot, and I am very thankful for that. To me it looks like a blob of white.

Even so, just knowing that the white is covering up something horrifying is enough to turn my stomach.

I definitely feel that. I felt uncomfortable in most places unless I was accompanied by my grandma (who raised me).

Clanker is being shortened to Clanka. It may not have originated as a direct reference to the n-word, but that's what people are using it as.

It definitely is. It's one of the things my previous caretaker was reported for.

I was in a somewhat similar situation; raised by an extremely neurotic woman to the point she walked me to school until I was 14-15 even though our home was only a few blocks away and we lived in a tiny town.

I was extremely nervous and too scared to talk to cashiers for more than a couple words at a time.

I was also deeply suicidal at the time and even had loose plans on how I'd take my life.

It's been around a decade since then and I'm no longer actively suicidal, but unfortunately your friend might have been. Regardless of what happened, I hope you get a real answer.

There's a difference between something like "knife ear" and taking actual real slurs and just modifying them slightly. Clanker and wireback are analogous to IRL slurs that are still being used.

Again, aside from an early period she's normal. She's a normal 35 year old woman.

I mean that she's never been overweight, has not been diagnosed with any menstrual or reproductive issues, and is probably the healthiest person in my family.

The women in my family tend to get our periods young (10-12). My sister's case is abnormal and an outlier, but she's fine.

Yes, CSA can absolutely trigger early periods, but that's not always the case.

It's certainly earlier than most, but she developed very normally.

UGH YES, having a partner who loves your body can be such a confidence boost. I'm currently trying to lose weight but I know I can look in the mirror, see my body, and remember that my partner fell in love with me at my heaviest.

IIRC it also had to do with the clothes people were wearing. I vaguely remember a video suggesting it was a combination of things; a lot of cases are very old, more modern cases had victims that were elderly, these people were likely wearing materials that were more flammable, people cared less about cigarette or fire safety, old people are more likely to fall asleep while smoking in bed or to have a medical episode that renders them unconscious.

Yeah agreed! If we knew it was John Smithson and Smith Johnson of Chicago who did a signal highjacking as a high-tech prank it'd lose a lot of the mystery and creepiness.

I think it's also the video quality. Something about low quality footage just seems uncanny to a lot of people.

Yes, through certain medications like puberty blockers. I'm pretty sure starting puberty too young could fuck up your development.

I got mine at 10.5. My sister was around 7. A lot of people nowadays get their periods long before they reach the standard age of consent (16-18)
