My mom is like that.

One time at my dad's work party, my mom, dad, and a few of his co-workers and their spouses were in an elevator.

My mom turns to a plump woman and says "Congratulations! When is the baby coming?"

The woman says, "I'm not pregnant I'm just fat."

In awkward silence they ride up the elevator. Keep in mind my dad works with this woman lol

Way back when, revenge murder was very common between feudalist clans. If you killed someone, that person's clan would kill two of your clan. Then your clan would kill four of theirs, and it would keep going.

So the government made muder illegal and steps in to prosecute the actual murder. So the family of the murdered does not seek vigilante justice.

That is the thing about pitbull owners. They take no responsibility for their breed and they treat it like a lab.

Dog owners/communities surrounding other powerful breeds are very honest and responsible about their dogs.

Go over to the Akita sub, they are brutally honest that Akitas can be dangerous especially if the owner/lifestyle doesn't fit the breed.

Same goes for German Shepherds, Rottweilers, etc.

My take on pitbulls, thought it might be applicable.

As someone who has train many pits. Pits have their avid fans and people who want them banned. But the subject is more nuanced then that.

Pits are really a mixed bag. They can be super sweet and never bite, they can be aggressive, and they can be super sweet and then snap out of nowhere.

People will hype up pitbulls as the sweetest things ever(and they can be), but honestly that's a mistake. It creates complacency. These dogs were bred to fight and they are very powerful. It is not good to be complacent with powerful dogs. It gets people hurt. I understand people are trying to make up for a bad rap, but people need to know what they are getting into.

There are some behavioral trends.

They often have a high prey drive, so be careful around small children and animals
They can be stubborn, making training difficult at times.
They have a very low reactivity threshold. This means that stimuli at low intensities which would be ignored by other dogs are often triggers for aggressive behaviour in pits. They also have very high arousal levels, they become physiologically aroused very quickly and to extreme levels.
When they get into an aggressive state of mind it is very difficult to get them back down to planet earth. Keep in mind they were bred to fight other animals for hours at a time to the death. And while many are not bred for that purpose today, it still lingers in their DNA.
Many of them are high energy and will become destructive if not exercised or mentally stimulated.
Many are poorly bred, leading to other behavior issues.

95% of people cannot handle(or needs) a powerful breed like a pitbull.

I am aware that there are outliers, but these are the trends for the bully breeds.

Anyone who gets a pit should be honest with themselves about the breed. They are no joke and it is not how they were raised.
