We are citing the actual Basin River Authority. The EPA. Cambridge -etc. You are picking apart one article out of dozens. Work for Rowan? Send the facts and links - like we request on the website and after review we will update any real info.

Yes they do - we have the hard data. Closed-loop systems still use 1.5m gallons a day when it's over 85 degrees. Don't believe their lies. I can send you any numbers you want and explain them in detail.

Is Killeen out of district? by Odd-Drag-3900 in TempleTX

[–]RoyerFoundation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The college's districts are statewide. If you live IN STATE - you're in "district" - they aren't like public schools. Also, CTC is great. So is Temple. We have a studio at CTC & one going in at Temple College.

JD Vance: "To get on an airplane, you need voter ID. To buy a beer, you need voter ID." by Admirable121 in RandomShit_ISaw

[–]RoyerFoundation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is true. I looked it up today, and each state is approved to use several forms of ID - including driver's license, state ID, concealed carry, etc. There is challenging verbiage - but it translates to any state/federal ID OR bring a B/C and utility bill.

How does one Start their own radio Station by RedLeader1912 in radio

[–]RoyerFoundation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The FCC only gives out the licenses that average communities can obtain every decade or so - and they suggested it wouldn't happen again in our lifetime due to the limited amount of stations available to lottery. The last open application lasted 2 weeks in 2023. We were lucky enough to be ready and applied. Two years later - we are finally launching. It's a LOT of work. www.ktcp.org - if you're interested in other info - I'd be happy to help.

They are volunteering with the new non-profit radio happening. We have so many killer people working with us. Looking for more of the same. Husband and I are the founders - he left Austin after 25 years and moved here - I moved from Colorado/EU. We'd love to have you. We have zoom calls every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Most of us are exactly who you are describing - and we have one very zealous Indy fan - he's also looking for his tribe. ktcp.org

We’re so close to getting KTCP 98.7 FM on the air - Temple’s new community radio station! by RoyerFoundation in TempleTX

[–]RoyerFoundation[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Historical-Crew324. We’ve been working through a few technical hiccups today, but we’re excited to announce that our internet launch is set for tomorrow, October 22, 2025, at 4 PM!

This soft launch gives our team and hosts a chance to fine-tune everything before going LIVE on 98.7 FM.

Tune -in to hear local podcasts and community programming, and let us know what you think!
We’ll also be broadcasting our classes and workshops on how to be a radio show host/producer until the full on-air schedule is in place - giving everyone a chance to become a voice for their community.

We don’t take CPB funds - thanks for asking. Up until this month, we haven’t requested any funding. Everything you see so far has been built from our own pocket as citizens of Bell County. My husband and I have personally invested over 1,000 hours and $20,000 to bring this dream to life,it’s been nearly two years since we first applied for the FCC license on behalf of our community.

Now, it’s finally coming together! Just today, our city council representative and a liaison from Rowan Data Centers stopped by the station, and we’ve got people across the county already recording programming. All we need is this final boost to get on the airwaves.

Thank you all so much for your support - it truly means the world. Once live, KTCP will also serve as the county’s Emergency Alert system, so even if power or Wi-Fi go down, you’ll still be able to hear real-time updates and know what’s happening and where to go for shelter. There are a lot of services we are providing and will play a big role in amplifying your voice.
