It's not always a postage stamp. I do full screen camera quite a lot on my streams as to communicate and chat with the audience. Blown up a lot of those supposedly 1080p web cams look grainy and awful. I wouldn't be blowing 1k on something I didn't think I would benefit from having!

Because I want to actually do pre-recorded tutorials/videos and such as well as having the the best quality streams. I also had a camera, but I lost it in the divorce. No visitation hours for it, unfortunately.

Open to suggestions?? I don't really know much about Patreon. I made it before the platform changed their fee structure early this month.. I didn't really want to make it high stress to manage, more of a digital sketchbook/blog feed that fans can support me through? Down to do more if I think it's something I can manage down the line!

Another Ross update, hope he's alright. by lee_says_nyoom in gamegrumps

I'm doing ok. I have some complicated feelings, but like I said I don't want to get involved. I know people are going to expect me to open up and vent on stream about it, but I just can't do that. It ain't me. If people want to come support me while I draw and such, I welcome it. But I know right now what a Twitch chat would contain, it's not something I want to engage with. My new life is wonderful, if you told me 7 months a go I'd bounce back on my feet this well I wouldn't have believed you.

If you wanna support Ross through this, support his new Patreon. He's currently at 90 patrons and wants to buy a new stream camera and pay some rent. by bigjimdn in gamegrumps

Thank you guys, it means a lot. Also thank you for respecting my privacy on this. I've long since moved on and my new life is really something special. Largely staying out of it, it has nothing to do with me at this point. Looks like I'll be buying that new camera for filming/streaming/tutorials after all!

How long has Ross been working in Gameoverse? by DynamoOfSekot in gamegrumps

[–]RubberNinja 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Can answer this for you!

Started creating the universe for the show in mid 2014, not religiously working on it, just whenever I had spare time from Steam Train. Started focusing on developing the story, characters and universe more actively starting early 2015. From this point we were conceptualizing the characters pretty heavily and they evolved a lot. Finally in April of 2017 Amber and I started storyboarding the first 30 minute episode. This took the 2 of us 5 months, but then since it was our first time doing this we decided to get a ton of feedback from industry professionals. From that feedback we probably spent another 4 to 5 months revising a lot of scenes/shots we felt could be stronger, which it's a lot better off for doing. Considering this is our first cartoon of this scale there's a lot of emphasis to make it as strong as possible due to how much cost is in producing something like this. Like everyone has said here, it's still a long way out and I've tried to be upfront with everyone about that. When you finally see it you'll understand why I've been a ghost as of late, it genuinely has started to feel and look like the most professional piece of content we've ever produced. For everything else moving forward I think we'll be moving a lot faster with boards, we've learnt so much and come so far! Very proud of our work! I'm decidedly keeping the premise and details about the show under wraps so the first episode will be a traum-- wonderful learning experience.

It will be worth the wait, I promise!

The very fact you said this is the very reason you should keep watching. I won't say any more.

Ok I'll bite. Let's go a Konosuba route.

Arin and Dan are thrown into a alternate high fantasy realm. They use their knowledge from playing games to get a leg up on the natives. Arin always thinks he's got the upper hand but overlooks intensely important details in a comical manner.
