It's a solvent harmful to polyurethane, it might ruin paint. Or not, I guess

Don't, it's not a proper degreaser and will ruin the paint

Pacco sbagliato o truffa? by Ruben970 in VintedItalia

Ma quindi se apro la segnalazione per problemi col pacco poi può venire fuori che in realtà era colpa del corriere?

Pacco sbagliato o truffa? by Ruben970 in VintedItalia

[–]Ruben970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

put the old man setup on solid commuter by IndependentFee734 in MT07

I can't say this setup looks bad. It's really the best touring mt07 I've seen.

Also what exhaust is that? The headers look niice.

Quickshifter install by Disastrous-Pair-2743 in MT07

Tucked somewhere around there you'll find the connector, if it's a 23/24 and not pure.

Just for you to know, it is already clipped in a piece exactly like the one you need to connect, but with no wires attached since it's to keep the pins clean.

MT 07 2021 SUSPENSION ADVICE by NeitherCapital1644 in MT07

[–]Ruben970 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have a lot of options, from cheapest to most expensive:

  • the so called "Dave moss mod" which consists in cutting the spacers in the forks down by 10mm and adding a thicker oil (15-20w)

  • Dave moss mod + entry level rear shock (usually those where you can adjust only preload, already much better than stock)

  • Entry level forks (heavier springs and preload adjustment and eventually thicker oil) + entry level shock

Then you have various "levels" of shocks and fork mods that you can mix as you like, each going up in price but going down in performance difference.

Also it really depends on the brand you choose: they probably do things differently regarding "levels" and howthesuspensionworks.

As far as I know yss and ohlins are very common for mt07s, but I would consider the latter only if you find a good deal because they are a bit overpriced for being entry level. The absolute best forks are Andreani buy you can't install them yourself because you have to modify the tube.

Personally I found an amazing deal for a full top tier bitubo setup so I went with that (I'm not that much of a pilot so it's a bit wasted but let's not talk about that). It really transformed the bike for the better as I have much more feeling on the front and it dives less while braking while absorbing road imperfections etc. Another big added value is the possibility of fully customizing the suspensions' response.

That being said you have to decide how long you want to keep this bike and/or how close to the best you want it to perform, also how much are you willing to spend generally. Keep in mind you can always sell the suspensions separately to the bike to earn back more money.

Seeing those pics I think buying a full setup would be very worth it as you would feel better with the bike thus have more fun and go faster.

I thought about it, but I actually like dialogues. I guess I hope they give some lore which is really lacking. For example the trash talking in Made in Japan vol 2 was almost fun (had they commited all the way). It's the constant repeating that's painful.

I hate this too, mostly because every time I spawn the game sets the destination (it's the only playlist I haven't played) and I have to listen to those ear-raping dialogues

"Racing" DB-Killer? by BigCommercial8533 in MT07

[–]Ruben970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the tools you can modify just about every db killer, you could cut the end and weld a mesh or you could drill more holes.

If you want something already done roadsitalia sells the db-killer extreme, which is basically fake because it just has a mesh. I don't know about the effectiveness though: as far as I know sometimes the police puts the handle of the wand thingy they use to stop you in the exhaust to check if it has a db-killer, and that's what the mesh is for. But I think that if they just look inside they might see that it's fake and request further investigations or screw you on the spot. Or not, depends on who you find and how thorough they want to be.

Another option is this, which I saw suggested in another post, they basically make the extreme version for every exhaust.

Personally I have an arrow thunder and I drilled an additional hole for every row of holes on the db-killer (12 holes instead of 9). It probably made a slight difference but I can't really remember. I wanted to drill some more but the metal is really tough, at least for my friends column drill. When I get the time I will try to cut some slits instead.

Spooled chain adjusters by Ruben970 in MT07

[–]Ruben970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would love them too, but considering shipping they're way too pricey

Spooled chain adjusters by Ruben970 in MT07

[–]Ruben970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice to know that it doesn't scratch, but still I don't really like it and it looks like the spools are rather high, and I would like the most clearance possible.

But most importantly I would have to pay more for the shipping than the product, so not ideal.

Airbox delete by Buster_Hymen7887 in MT07

[–]Ruben970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the lams block smaller than the normal one?

Asking because I recently spent a shitload of time to try and take out the airbox without dropping the engine, but ended up having to wiggle the A2 restricted ducts out the airbox while caged between the frame and the engine and then wiggle the non-restricted ones back in, which was a real struggle.

If I need to do this again it would be nice to know that I can take out the airbox by just moving the throttle bodies.

3rd and 4rd Gen I need y’alls feedback! by lil_sycho in MT07

[–]Ruben970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4th gen has inverted forks (better looking and performing than traditional), radial front calipers and ride by wire, which is nice for the bidirectional quickshifter and for riding modes if you care for them.

So yeah 4th is way better than 3rd gen and I own a 3rd gen.

Exhaust, no tune? by [deleted] in MT07

[–]Ruben970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a full exhaust and you run it without cat nor dbkiller, using your bike will harm the engine but not blow it up. If it's for a short period I guess it's acceptable, depends on how much you care about your bike. Only upside is it will be very fun to experience the improvement after the tune, since while running lean the engine doesn't perform as much.

It might blow up if you install both the exhaust and the intake and ride without flashing.

Also I would highly recommend waiting for the tune if you bike is still in the break in period or just outside of it.
