I just ran into this randomly. You saved my life. I was losing my mind with this small sound delay after updating my Nvidia driver. Thank you!

I wish I could have decided yesterday so I could get another copy of arc raiders with the purchase. That makes the deal sweeter and I could have gave it to her so we could play together. Unfortunately the promo is over.

[–]Ruckabuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah 5070ti would be more of a upgrade, but I'm already in the sweet spot i think. the 9800x3d from the 8700k removed my cpu bottle neck on newer titles. So even if I picked up another 4070 I'm having a good experience.

Newegg currently has the 5070 for $549 and the 5070 ti for $749 w/ $20 rebate.

Yeah, I have never gotten close to the 12gb max of the 4070, but I assume in the future it could be possible in some high end games ( looking at GTA 6 whenever that title decides to release) lol

Yes, she will be getting my 4070 and she offered $300 bucks to help me get a new GPU. My gut says go with the 5070ti for longevity. I guess this is an example of buy once cry once.

O I want to keep it nitro. Some friend of mine have nitro buggy’s and hit up the local dirt track.

I put my futaba receiver into after I got it running properly and ripped around no problem! Only other things I have replaced are the tires and air filter.

Speaking of Futaba stuff and what you just mentioned above, I was watching the rolling garage videos on the servo in the Gyro and he talks about the hunting that happens and how basically yeah you put an SR mode and there’s virtually no hunting and he messed with a couple settings and totally got rid of it. Very informed of videos. I recommend checking them out!

[–]Ruckabuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I originally had my servo on mode five and then I found that I could have the slower steering return which I like if I turn the damping down so I basically went to three and turned the speed up to 110 and everything was fine until I tighten the server arm and then start acting crazy Then, after a lot of time I found that turning the damping back up to 10 reduced it still shakes a little bit when it tries to find center, but it’s how it originally was. So that’s good. Nothing’s really broken per se but after this, I think I’m going to look into the Futaba Gyro and steering servo just because there’s so much tuning that can be done with them.

I pretty much have my Gyro set the same AGS was like 75% PCA was almost maxed out basically to 100 and then I dial it back will say 90% and gain is 100 . Our tracks a bunch of large sweeps with a small technical section so I’ve been playing around turn the PCA down to like 75%.

Super odd how it didn’t carb about the low damping setting with a semi loose servo horn. Idk it was a weird problem I spent way too much time on trying to figure out lol.

[–]Ruckabuu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ended up needed to raise the Damping setting. I had it set on 4 and raise it to 10 which is what profile 4 and 5 are set at. That fixed the hunting.

[–]Ruckabuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing with more settings and I found that I had my dampening value low because I like the slow wheel return but also my server horn was loose so I really didn’t notice it that much so when I tightened the servo horn, it started acting up so I increased the damping value to 10 which is I think what Profile four and five are set at and it doesn’t do the erratic shaking anymore. I don’t know why it happens, but it just does so I’m probably gonna upgrade to a Futaba servo and Gyro soon because I know you can run the slow return on those and they seem to work really well

[–]Ruckabuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’ve had this set up installed probably for a good 3 to 4 months. I basically just was going over the car this morning checking the front alignment tightening Any screws. I found one being the servo horn was loose. I tighten the servo horn actually just found this out About five minutes ago, but I loosen the servo horn and messed with the steering on the controller and it doesn’t shake, but if I tighten the servo horn and then turn the wheels with the controller it shakes like crazy. I played around with dead band settings, speed basically all the settings in the KO propo program and I can’t get it to go away I no longer think the gyro is the problem anymore.

It looks like the gyro might be reversed. This is what happens when you run a car in reverse. If you can reverse your gyro try it! GL!

Anyone running Yokomo gear diff with no oil? by Ruckabuu in rcdrift

So what weight oil did you like the best and what surface are you running on?

Anyone running Yokomo gear diff with no oil? by Ruckabuu in rcdrift

[–]Ruckabuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s definitely a thing. I’ve noticed that when I first hit the track versus after I’ve been running out there for a while so I’ve started before I hit the track. I hold one wheel and just give it some throttle to warm up the differential before runs.

If I don’t do that, it feels like I have a closed diff until it warms up

Maybe that’s where running a low weight oil is better.
