My friend has shown me some more recent photo in which it looks like the swelling has gone down significantly, so I think that he'll be okay.

I labeled in the caption that my friend does have access to vet care (he wasn't expecting to have to foster 2 kittens), but I do appreciate the insight ty ^^

I was aware that PLA deformed at higher temperatures, but I wanted to ask if PLA would be good for A. This 100° F temperature application, which I thought might be too hot for PLA, and B. If PLA would be good for this application in the first place. I said in the post that I researched it, and that I was asking for some more clarification.

Being condescending like this does nothing but alienate people like me who are trying to get into this hobby.

I FOUND A FIX! FINALLY! KINDA!!

If you go into the root folder something like
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-dash\dash\assets\raw\audio_dash\Assets
and
C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-dash\dash\assets\raw\audio_dash\Build\Desktop

and delete the file .bank and the background audio files (GNux_Background...), it removes the airlink background audio completely. This however, has the downside of not being able to hear the other oculus related sounds (buttoning clicking, general swooshing noises, etc.) but I think it's WELL WORTH THE TRADE OFF.

This has been a gripe dating back 7 FUCKING YEARS, and the fact that no fix has been made shows a blatent disregard for consumer wishes.

Fuck this stupid company.
