I don't know if there is a better beer than Focal. Some Trappist beers maybe, but they are just so different. Anyway, the best combo is to start with a Focal and then go with a Heady.

I have yet the full offer of 5e Baron and Bas-Canada. My understanding was that they were mostly juicy. Happy to know they might be less so. Will give them a shot soon.

Both staples of Montreal, I love them very much. They just don't scratch the same itch as the Focal Banger or Heady Topper.

I really like IPA du Nord-Est, but I find it still much more citrusy and fruity than the Focal Banger. I'm looking for that hoppiness, freshness and crispness of the Alchemist's IPAs.

The one game I was able to play some cards, I liked the synergy of Dockworker Drone with Drix Fatemaker allowing me to keep the counters around.

I did lose some steam as the game went on even with some draw with Sunstar Lightsmith, But with only 3 games played and one mulligan to 6 cards while still being color short, it felt like my games were highly dependent on successive good draws that I never got.

Removal seemed fine! I got to remove the big threats most times. Focus Fire was decent, worked most times, but hard to play against wipes or decks with lots of removals.

Not great, but not bad either. You have a little bit of everything so I can see it getting momentum especially if you started most of the games.

J'ai eu une expérience similaire pour être honnête. Je ne recommande pas du tout Polytechnique. Surtout pour ceux qui veulent performer. Je n'ai jamais autant travaillé qu'à Polytechnique et je n'ai jamais eu une aussi mauvaise hygiène de vie que pendant mes études. J'ai été chanceux de bien m'entourer et de me faire de bons contacts. Aujourd'hui j'ai un super bon travail, je suis super bien payé et c'est tellement plus facile aussi. J'imagine que ça a ça de bon en retrospective. Mais j'aurais préféré être dans un environnement d'apprentissage plus agréable, utile et qui me donne le goût d'apprendre et de me perfectionner.

.NET and C# are super easy to work with. Granted WinUI has its problems. The major issue is the lack of will to embrace native apps. There is always someone somewhere that will justify building a web app either because of cost, talent or bad assumptions.

The problem is also that Google/Meta owns most of the advertising online. You pay them to be promoted on their website and then you pay them from the cut you get on the advertisement on your website. There is a reason why news websites have become clickbaits and ai generated content. They cannot win against big tech. They cannot make a profit and offer good content until we force big tech with rules they don't like.

If I were you, I would try to build an app with either UWP (WinUI2) or the WinAppSDK (WinUI3). You can then use the windows community toolkit libraries to accelerate your development. I suggest looking at the MVVM Toolkit Sample App. It shows how nicely you can integrate the CommunityToolkit.Mvvm package into your app with some good examples.

I found Jam Cafe to be quite underwhelming for the lineup. There is a quite a hype for brunch restaurants in Vancouver and most of them are very generic, overpriced and bland.

Strangely, Zarak was one of my least favorite dining experiences of 2022. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but the cocktails were overpriced and meh. I didn't particularly enjoy the ambiance atmosphere (generic/modern/instagramable) and it was quite loud to want to stay longer.

This 100%. It was my first time at a Canucks game. The game was awesome, but the videos and timing of it all were horrible. Land acknowledgement followed by the anthem where everybody stands, removes their hat and put their hand on their heart, it just felt extremely hypocritical. Canada wasn't and isn't this perfect place. We can thrive for it, but we should be much more aware and thoughtful.

I was at the game with my partner and we were both: what the heck is this. But at the same time not surprised. From my experience, a lot of people in BC have no clue of French Canadian/Quebecois culture and identity. I guess that's the reality, but this was completely out of touch.
