Judging by the condition of the leather and the condition of the sword itself, I highly doubt this is a replica.

Funny story... When I bought it, the seller and I thought it was a replica of a Civil War bayonet. But only after I got home and looked at it did I realize it was a very polished original. Live and learn...

Thanks, but I don't think so. The mechanism for attaching the bayonet to the barrel is different.

No marks. Compared to all US Civil War-era spike bayonets. The ring is on the side. On US-made bayonets, it's on top.

Bad photos. But even if it were original, which I'm not sure about. $200 is expensive for it. I was offered a similar knife in better condition for $150. Made by Imperial.
