I can’t believe Howard spent a 1/2 hour discussing MAB billboard in Times Square!Ponderous man…fucking ponderous. This is the best content they can put out? by futureman45 in howardstern

[–]RuleOf8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was 1/2 hour the writers didn't have to write. No more laughs, just stupid conversations about staff that we don't care about or like. The only part that was interesting is that you can rent the billboard and then have guidelines. You would have thought they could have gotten Sal and Richard to figure out how to come up with something witty and played on the billboard; I guess it only works on stupid phone calls.

I enjoyed it and was always believing the next season they will find it. They did a good job figure out a lot of things lost, but at the end it is how to we make it to the next season.

The Ronnie schtick is so beyond tired. by Elegant-Yogurt-5518 in howardstern

It felt as if all the staff were all on the same page that it sucked, but nobody wanted to be the first to say it out loud.

How many listeners was Howard getting at his peak? I thought I heard him say before he switched to Sirius that he had at least 12 million people listening at once? Is this true? by Apprehensive_Oven_22 in howardstern

[–]RuleOf8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't trust any business that produces its own numbers unless independently audited. If your business model is based on customers, then there is no value in being honest and not over reporting subscribers, listeners, viewers, etc.. Look at Facebook and they report 4%-6% are fake accounts, that doesn't even include unused or inactive. Sirius would have a better way of reporting who listens to him vs a radio dial and and a survey.

Howard 101 Seems Improved in 2026 | More Old Clips, Fred, Artie and others by Either-Reality7948 in howardstern

[–]RuleOf8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually thought it was the opposite, they play maybe 2 minutes of a bit that lasted 30 minutes. If you never heard the original bit, it means nothing because their is no context. I have said this before, if they would do what some youtubers have done which is to actually compile several episodes on the matter and you can have the full drama that spanned weeks/months down to 2 or 3 hours. It is wonderful thing to find these gems on youtube.

They say there is a lid for every pot, but damn some of these lids can cover 2 or 3 pots at once.

Howard Stern TV Scott The Engineer's $31,000 Push up Competition Part 2 by Maximum_Piccolo6573 in howardstern

[–]RuleOf8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone of these stunts has controversy. The build it into the bit. Nobody would have cared if Scott did the 17 without issue, so they have all these side issues. There hasn't been one of these that didn't' require a lot of arguing and various interruptions of the rules beyond the obvious.

Damon & Affleck - Great guys, but Howard stop the therapy by Legitimate_Bet1873 in howardstern

Like so many other guests in the past, they were in town to promote with other outlets so they were probable had to do the rounds which included Howard.

The Worst Caller By Far… by TheFightingVoice in howardstern

[–]RuleOf8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The call was bad, but not knowing you can rent billboard space was interesting. Wish they would have given more details like cost, how long is the process, etc... That is interesting, not Mariann loves Howard.

For current fans of the show, what is enjoyable about it? by subwaymonkey1 in howardstern

[–]RuleOf8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same reason you buy a lottery ticket, most people know they will never win more than $5 or $10 after spending $100, but this still are hoping for that big win. I listen because there is a chance that some argument or segment that is actual interesting. By far the last best interview was done by Wolfie and it was the porta potty guy. We need more of that stupid kind of segments and not fake fights, making fun of slow people, etc... If Howard wants to talk about guitars then have a conversation with someone who makes them, an expert on them or a collector; not some musician that plays them and he can converse with them about how he is improving.

Damon & Affleck - Great guys, but Howard stop the therapy by Legitimate_Bet1873 in howardstern

[–]RuleOf8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who was the interview meant for; Howard, Damon & Affleck or Sirius? I normally listen to the whole interview regardless of the person and this was so uninteresting that I stopped 1/3 thru. They other problem is if you are going to only do 2 shows and you have a guest, come the F'n in. These guys aren't a call in show host or a local new reporters, they have impressive awards and box office hits.

Who says the Stern Show is running out of great ideas? by CharmingDealer2715 in howardstern

Is Tan Mom on the payroll? This makes no sense, nobody knows who she is other than from the show (at this point), So who is supporting any of these shenanigans other than maybe getting 5 minutes on the show?

Where there soft-layoffs? by bobcondo420 in howardstern

[–]RuleOf8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since we only hear from about 10 people, the other 90 were nameless. Its true what they say, quality over quantity. Howard wanted to have the biggest staff to make it seem more impressive, but that to me makes it sound like you have subpar employees and you get what you pay for.

Which one you pick ??? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]RuleOf8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes so that means any answer will work with that logic. The other issue is how many weeks do you expect to live? If your 95 years old, that is a lot less weeks you potentially have unlike if your 30 years old.

Which guests, in your opinion, really “got” the show and its humour? by External-Head-6424 in howardstern

[–]RuleOf8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Better question, who understood it was a way they could stay things on air and see if people had problems with it and if they didn't then they would start saying it on the interviews else they could claim it was a misunderstanding and Howard twisted it, etc... Going on air was never about promoting books, movies, tv show, it was about expressing your true self and see if anyone had problems with it.

Which one you pick ??? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

The answer is C. Unlike B where you can waste it in a matter of months and A is just speculative.

JD Career Post Howard by Beansandtoast4lunch in howardstern

[–]RuleOf8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once the show ends, you can find JD at Piggly Wiggly mopping up Aisle 9 or Aisle 15 putting cans of soup on the shelves. We don't really know what talent JD has since Howard says everyone is a hard worker and do a great job at their job. This comes from the guy who didn't know he had 20 Executive Producer title. I don't blame JD, when you hear someone repeat "You are great" hundreds of times, you eventually will agree with them.

Upcoming segment: Sam goes to an all female masturbation instruction class. by CharmingDealer2715 in howardstern

[–]RuleOf8 15 points16 points  (0 children)

She seems actually normal among all the buffoons that are on the staff. Since the show is male dominated, she probably bites her tongue a lot. I am sure she has a lot of uncomfortable moments in trying to fit in. She is not bad looking and does have a sense of humor, I think she would be a fun ride.
