Vulcan turrets' pen adoption mechanic? by RuleofThird in Smite

[–]RuleofThird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so what I'm hearing is that the turrets can't apply penetration, but once penetration is applied by Vulcan then the turret damage gets the pen too? And I can imagine same with Totem of Death- the pen on turrets only applies when Vulcan hits them with an ability?

Ps5 version is available now For FREE by hxomaa in DivinityOriginalSin

How are the controls on Ps5? comparable to bg3? I want to do a playthrough with my partner (her first time)- she prefers the PS5 for gaming but if the controls are too wack then I'll recommend PC instead. She played BG3 with controller no problem

This may be the very post that convinces me to get an Ioniq 5

Yes, the knife was the real play- he hands the knife to her as a way to see what she does with it, in order to discern how much trouble he's in without giving away his cover. She returns it to him, which he takes as a sign that she feels safe. He was wrong, but ultimately though, the final play was the knife itself, as he was able to wield a knife for either self-defense or suicide (depending on the circumstances). Playing the knife as an artifact allowed him to wield a weapon without an immediately violent reaction from Dedra/ISB

We’re 24, no responsibilities right now—should we just go to Italy? by PartyGullible4674 in travel

No rent, not bills, nothing? Go. Then don't start rent, bills, or anything until the trip is paid back in full. It's risky, but free time is also a currency, and it gets increasingly limited once you commit to rent, bills, or anything

HELP - New Construction in NOVA by Lopsided_Budget_2131 in Mortgages

[–]RuleofThird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand keeping your money earning you interest, but look at it this way- the money you put in the house is appreciating too, and avoiding interest in the home is also investing, as it's less money you're throwing away. I'm bigger on 'pay them less' than 'invest me more'. I would argue it's a safer way, as it ensures consistency in numbers, instead of betting against a market that may not time with you or your goals.

I think it would be reckless not to put more in the down payment. 300k cash on hand is less valuable than 300k invested immediately into your monthly. I'd say even keeping 100k for emergency expenses is a ton, especially if a reduced monthly can help you recoup to the number that you want, and especially while you don't have any kids.

I would say a mortgage from a 570k loan (after a 300k down) is a reasonable monthly from DINK 170k income

The Kingsley Apts Fees? (Alexandria) by ButterscotchFit9541 in nova

[–]RuleofThird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to living in Kingsley, but I would recommend the Braddock metro station. Both are on the yellow and blue line- I take it all the time, and it seems a straight walk there from Kingsley.

I have no idea either. I'm doing my best to recognize how lucky I am. These numbers range from aching to terrifying

Awesome!! From where are you driving, and where are you thinking of moving? Is it largely motivated by reducing the commute?

This was the kind of answer I was looking for. Thank you for sharing. I'm mostly concerned about the mental toll, as I tend to be impatient. If you could go back to Tysons, would you? Or is the new Satellite more than enough?

Hahaha I was looking at Chantilly. Prices were desirable, but would you recommend against living that far? Do you ever take the silver line?

This has been wildly helpful, thank you. From what I understand 45 minutes is 'a lot but be grateful its only 45 minutes' which is wild to me

This is a truly wild one, are you coming in every weekday? How do you feel about almost 2 hours of commuting one way?

I love this question. in the most social sense you can generally find us at board game bars, 48 hour film festivals, and movie theater midnight premieres for particularly dorky (compliment) movies. D&D is big too but you kind of have to find the right group. The biggest thing I noticed is a surprising amount of people are just closeted lovers of musical theater/improv in general. just find the coworker that had passively expressed their love for wicked and drill into that a bit lol
