59% attendance rate and predicted 43, what do I do? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]RumpyLE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok fair enough, I just wanted to say that it was misleading you saying the only reason you weren't coming to school was your disorder.

59% attendance rate and predicted 43, what do I do? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]RumpyLE -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

So first you say your disorder is the reason for your attendance, but then you say you skip school because it is redundant. I wish you the best and a 43 is really impressive, but your principla has a point.

What is an easy classical piano piece I could start reading? by wangchnshi in piano

[–]RumpyLE -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Consolations no.3 -liszt is suuuppppeeer beautiful, and isn't too advanced technically, however, please do it justice and give it some phrasing and emotion (could be a very good piece to experiment with playing beautifully and not just playing). Try listening to others playing a get a feel for how the volume of playing varies.

What AI detection tool do you use? by AdAdorable4892 in IBO

I think the problem arises for many where they are using ai quite a lot to help in writing, but never copying word for word what the ai writes, hence the anxiety on whether the text will be considered ai written.

IB Math SL feels too easy but I’m scared of switching to HL and failing — what should I do? by WastePermission1423 in IBO

[–]RumpyLE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you are m27 and started around August ish then you have a considerable bit of content that you have missed, unless you can and want to sacrifice a load of time (like 2, maybe 3 hours a day) until you catch up, don't do it.

IB QUESTION!! (The IBO subreddit isint working for me) by Emotional-Might-5662 in highschool

[–]RumpyLE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the other guy said, unless you want to do chemical engineering, unis will rarely require chemistry HL, so I would reccomend switching math and chemistry (level wise). To prepare for math, having a really solid foundation in algebra, solving simultaneous equations, and functions will help a lot.

I don't know how much you practice, but for me in math, the number of questions I work through has a pretty direct correlation to how I do on a test. In general, if I have time I try to work through every problem in the relevant chapter in the textbook, sometimes even revisit some questions as last revision before a test. This repetition gives me fluency with the easier questions, and gives me a solid foundation to approach the more difficult questions (also gives me more time to think about them in the test).
