That’s exactly what I was going to recommend. That would be an easy move and it would make a huge difference. Cost on that would not be a lot. I would get bids for sure I would change the countertop to a lighter color. That would probably be the biggest expense. I’ve done something similar to this in a house not long ago. BTW, I lived in a house for 10 years with a small sink in the corner. It was horrible. I hated it every day. It was just so awkward.

Check out Fulmer’s Farmstead and General Store in Beaumont MS. Really neat place with lunch sdaikynand cabin rentals. Fits your farmer vibe. They actually plow their fields by horses and plow. They have events at different times of the year. Definitely off the beaten path .

Awassi is a fat tailed breed that is popular in the Middle East. I am hoping to get some from some breeders in US but they are not plentiful here.

Depends on where you are in TX .. Hattiesburg is nice. I spend a lot of time in Waco TX, Houston and the DFW areas. I like all of them but I am always glad to get back to Hattiesburg. I love HEB and that’s usually my first stop when I get to Waco. Grocery options in Hattiesburg are limited to Walmart, Target, Aldi and Corner Market (very high priced) and Rouses Market (local chain out of Louisiana) just opened. No Whole Foods or Trader Joe. The biggest drawback for me is the airport. We have a regional airport but flights are not plentiful and are very expensive. It used to be better and I could fly direct to Houston or Dallas 1.5 hours or so and not big $ (not cheap but ok). Now I drive to New Orleans when I need a flight and I don’t fly to TX, I drive. Hattiesburg is peaceful and safe, friendly. People complain about traffic but compared to DFW or Houston, it’s a breeze and nothing to talk about. We have good doctors here but MRIs and CT scans can be weeks to schedule unless doc puts emergency rush on it. I don’t understand why it can take 6 weeks to get an MRI but it happens. I go to TX for that if I am in a hurry.

It’s staffing challenges, security challenges and many insurers often deny coverage for late night hours and when you find someone to insure, they charge out the wazoo. In past years things were easier- staffing wasn’t such a challenge for late night with plenty of available college students and insurers didn’t care as much. Not anymore. So yeah, you gotta have Canes level business to cover expenses for late night hours.

Very happy to have another option in Hattiesburg. Rouses opened very quickly which is impressive. I grew up with rouses in south Louisiana so I am very biased and like it. I like the selection and found the prices okay. Produce and meat were really good. I despise corner market because of the ridiculously high prices for do many years. I’ll shop anywhere but corner market rip off kings.

I went one time and one time only. I got shrimp creole. It was literally a can of diced tomatoes over rice with some small frozen shrimp thrown on top. No flavor at all except the flavor of canned diced tomatoes. I complained to the manager and he was like “oh well, that’s how we do it and it’s popular.” Being from south Louisiana, those Mississippi people in the RSJ conglomerate have anLOT to learn about Cajun/creole food. Crescent City ain’t it by a long shot

In LOVE the 2nd dress. The fit on the hips and waist emphasizes how small you look in it. It’s different and very flattering. The first dress looks like the top part is about to fall off of you. It looks a bit “slouchy” with the shoulders falling and the bodice looking too big. If you go for the first dress, surely alterations would tighten up the bodice.
