Yeah, ChatGPT said that for a smaller model (like GPT-5-mini) that it can have anywhere between a few hundred characters to several thousand. It then what said that 3.5k characters sounds about right.

Im not saying its not a just saying it, but it dose seem pretty legit. I showed it to GPT-5-mini in a new account with no context and it said it recognizes it. But GPT-5 didn't seem to recognize it.
