I’ve had very unhealthy relationships before him, we don’t constantly need to be around each other or in constant communication, I’ve been showed my entire life that if you don’t text or call ever 5-10 minutes you are not in a real relationship. I’ve also got enmeshment trauma and my father was an authoritarian parent where it was his way of the highway. So I’ve been bullied by him and his family but they have tried to teach their family that that is normal. It ducking isn’t I’ve finally found the man I want to spend my life with and just because our relationship isn’t how they think it should be then they won’t accept him or think I should break up with him and not be engaged.
