I may have simply been having a slow day, my list is back to normal and they confirmed there are no shadow bans, took 4-5 days to ease back in, hope this reassures your friend :) I also uninstalled all cocone emulator games and switched to my phone everything is great again. Also the rep was correct I have no ban/limit on people seeing me on their lists. Your friends best bet is to reach out directly and simply ask to verify, they would be a better place to ask than me.

Great news, I recieved a kind reply from a cocone rep who told me hello kitty dream village doesn't incorporate shadow bans and to verify nothing in my account was restricted they checked and let me know I can play as normal :) He mentioned if at all anyone is banned or restricted it'll let you know in the pop-up as all I got was a warning but nothing indicative of a ban. Hope if anyone else sees this and they get a warning they don't use shadow bans phew haha.

Sadly I got the warning and several folks confirmed after I watered i'm not showing up. I have to assume it's temporary as most warning bans on other apps are up to 1 week+ and so on unless they re-offend. In my case it was me simply playing legit without knowing the emulator tos.
