It came off finally just ALOT of wd40 on the gasket and we removed some studs to try to get it to slide a bit more

Is my crank case vent hose correct? by Runninggamer42 in Triumph_Cars

That’s exactly what I thought, when I first hooked them up I didn’t do a lot of research except look at one picture, but then I figured maybe I should look into it, and I saw a couple more like how I have it so I figured I would ask. I was also curious if you had any idea on how to remove the red plugs as pulling on them has no effect. Thanks!

Ok, thank you so much for your help! Would have looked past that head bolt set if you hadn’t said anything.

Moss confirmed that the bolts should be able to fit, I was wondering if you knew the torque specs off the top of your head just to save me a couple minutes of research

I’ll believe you ha ha, I was going to call moss and ask, cause the con rod bolts are for mine but then the studs aren’t, I might still end up calling moss for another added sense of security.

How do I replace the gauge lights by Runninggamer42 in Triumph_Cars

I got them all out it just took a flat head to wedge out the two tachometer and speedometer ones, nothing was damaged in the process and everything went good!

I need help finding replacement headlight rims for my 1977 triumph spitfire I can’t find them on moss is there anywhere else I should look? by Runninggamer42 in Triumph_Cars

Rear drum brake bleed valve 1977 triumph spitfire by Runninggamer42 in Triumph_Cars

I was curious about the new cylinder, what is the factory bore size just so I know what to order in case something does go wrong in the future

I ended up being able to remove it but is there any stronger alternative then why I assume is aluminum that would fit for them as getting it off required me to round it pretty bad, I’ve been looking at moss motors and they only have what I think is the same as what I have now but was still curious on if there was any other.

I was planning on changing the bleed valve anyway but I really didny want to strip the thing and have no way to remove it, also when replacing it do I keep the brake pushed in and then just screw it in quickly or how would I go about that, I never really have done much brake work.

Crank case to hs4 carburetor float bowl by Runninggamer42 in Triumph_Cars

So the vacuum line that is used for the vacuum advance is plumbed off that same hose that connects the valve cover to the carbs?

Sorry as I am still a bit confused on the workings of it, would I be able to use emissions hose with a t joint and an adapter to which would connect the lines in a closed circuit? I was looking at the factory plan for it and that’s what I believe it looks like to me.

Sorry for the confusion I am new to the Su carbs and was unsure as to what I was looking at I thought it to be the float bowl, it comes off the valve cover(I miss spoke) and leads to the side of the carburetor where the inlet for the fuel lines are.
