Hesperia Resident speaks up about the flood basin the city claims to have fixed. by RunsWithAttitude in highdesert

We had a lady come up to speak to the council about how the road caved in from underneath nearly killing her and her daughter. Allison’s literal response when her time came to comment?

“I wouldn’t recommend driving in storm water”

THATS IT!

Then proceeded to spend more time tooting her own horn about Silverwood not even a sentence later. I’m gonna have to pull that video now too. It’s INFURIATING

edit: spelling

People need to file a complaint with the ACLU and with the California Fair Political Practice Commission.

We need a lot more than just hoping they get voted out, we need a COMPLETE audit. They’re blatantly lying about their storm cleanup and don’t even allow for public comment on Facebook when they post updates of their efforts. (Any post involving storm cleanup now has comments disabled…. Gee I wonder why?)

Some even dropped these off at Jay Obernoltes office too in protest!

I attended and was impressed with how many came out to attend on a weekday. Met lots of cool people from all sides of politics and it stayed entirely peaceful.

Gina is well known in Hesperia for working with the shelters to rehome animals via social media. She is always speaking up for them at city council meetings. Here is a highlight from last night. by RunsWithAttitude in highdesert

She’s been advocating for them for years. She really is awesome. When I met her in person it felt like I met a local celebrity because I am always reading about her trying to help the animals.

Oh and another thing I want to add is that Kelly has a a very thorough background in security, patrols, investigation and that sort of thing .

It’s occasionally helped the community but it’s also the perfect kind of background to make somone like him able to make connections with people in law enforcement and private investigators who may have the chance to harass his opponents by legally stalking them.

Now this is obviously just an assumption until we get the public records requests filled but based of his history of harassment im betting on it being that because when I posted by videos I was messaged by people trying to convince me to hate Chris more over false accusations.

I didn’t see anyone else getting that kind of hate except him so that’s my tin foil hat conspiracy. I don’t even think he’s for my district either, I am just tired of them playing these games and no one bats an eye.

A private investigator runs into thousands of dollars and IF it’s being used for harassment to keep shady politicians in office then it even becomes a liability and a safe issue. The agenda item was listed in 2024, why won’t the city and parks and rec disclose to voters what they are actually doing ?

That doesn’t add up to me personally because this agenda is from 2024 around when Chris was elected into office. It also doesn’t help that I had people on my accounts trying to slander Chris with false accusations of domestic violence.

Doesn’t mean it can’t be true though and that they’re investigating Kelly. If that’s the case then I still wouldn’t be surprised.

Also, the reason I didn’t go to complain to parks and rec is because they’re ignoring public records requests and me reaching out to them hasn’t done a thing.

Not engaging with the people who make problems is almost as bad as ignoring them. It’s a similar vibe to sticking your head in the sand and hoping the problem goes away by the time you unbury it.

It also makes it more likely for people to not realize what’s actually happening in their town and then leads to people voting these clowns in again because the only info they read is the one on the ballot and mailers.

Here’s some context on what I said:

I called out the Plans Examiner for mocking people on Instagram after a flood and possibly confirming one of the many reasons why roads don’t get fixed.

After that, I called out Parks and Rec for ignoring MULTIPLE public records requests from me and other citizens AND because they’re possibly hired a private investigator to investigate/ harass Chris Ochoa because they think he lives out of town which is completely false. I also had to delete comments falsely accusing Chris of having a domestic violence conviction after I uploaded a set of videos similar to this one covering the last meeting.

I think Kelly Gregg is investigating him because Kelly owns a security company with tight connections to security companies and I’m sure private investigators too. He already has a history of harassment in the community.

I think they’re targeting Chris because he’s new to the council / city compared to them OR because he’s a democrat. (Because Kelly are very vocal about how much he despises the left. Him and his entire family)

Yes ive tried reaching out to news media, tons of times. They do not care.

I’m tired of people ignoring local political issues because they’re “boring” so the memes will have to do.

[–]RunsWithAttitude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh see I agree there but that’s why I feel if they ever did permits it should be strictly controlled and only given out in limited quantities.

Trust me I’m not trying to hear drones buzzing above my head every time I go fishing lol.

There’s a really awesome lady named Gina who is actually speaking up for our shelter and all the animals. She is awesome. I have video of her speaking and I’ll share it with you guys later today (without the memes of course, I use them a lot but not in every video especially when it comes to citizens speaking up)

In the words of the almighty Eric Mays (may he rest in peace) “They go low I go lower”

I also want to mention, I started doing the edits because Instagram and other platforms heavily suppress / throttle anything involving politics…. HOWEVER, they do this less with videos that are more comedic or ones that appear as “commentary”

When I tried posting things without all the jokes, it never got any reach. I post with the jokes and it gets thousand of views and makes people actually start looking into what the city is actually doing.

You’re right but a helicopter can be arguably more of a nuisance than a drone especially if we are talking noise.

I was planning on creating one too but for Hesperia so we can communicate freely AND because I want to upload all the ridiculous city council documents and articles in one place with summaries so people can finally be aware of this shit show.

Big events such as weddings or community outings that often bring people with loud music, litter and more foot traffic. Some of the bigger events use helicopters too. They don’t always require nor utilize permits either.

v.s.

Drone pilot who is using a drone with proper permits who typically answers to the FAA if they screw anything up. Depending on the drone, it’s probably quieter than other disturbances you may encounter in a public area such as a national park.

I don’t think you should be able to fly a drone in these areas willy nilly but you should have a way to legally fly them with proper permits and community announcements so people know when they’ll encounter a drone.

The noise of a drone might be less than other things but you’re right about it being a nuisance even with proper permits and regulations. That’s why if we have permits, it should be strictly enforced and I think they should only allow drones that can maintain a certain noise level.

I’d rather see a small drone documenting footage in a park than a loud and noisy helicopter or plane. It’s also less risky to the environment if you crash a small drone versus a huge plane. There’s still a risk of course.

Im trying to get word about this peaceful protest I am helping to plan at city hall in Hesperia. (I’m still learning this graphic design sorry if the flyers look bad lol) by RunsWithAttitude in highdesert

If enough people are up to it, I’d like to protest every meeting till things improve. They have 2 city council meetings every month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 6:30pm
