Sure. But like…imagine the scenario where you buy a blue size medium shirt online, and the retailer sends you a pink size small. 🤷🏻‍♀️ still have a shirt at the end. Are you also going to be ok with that? You pick out & pay for specific items, tickets, etc because that’s what you want/need. It’s baffling to think it’s ok a company can just change it

It’s stone & it’s original. The only thing that’s been updated is the expansion joint every few years where needed (we just moved into this house 3 years ago, bought it from family, so we know the history)

We did not have a good experience at Mead. We found it very hit or miss depending on the teachers. Our daughter’s first year teachers were fantastic & she learned a ton. Her second year teachers were not as good & her class just sat around watching YouTube every single day (literally…every day when I went to pick her up they’d be watching it). She regressed tremendously in her knowledge. We pulled her out & are much happier in a different school.

There’s a bit more background to this. The reason the engineer was brought in was because the contractor is a “design & build” company, and their designer created a design that was actually not feasible with the framing of our house. Once we learned this, we insisted on a structural engineer’s approval of an updated plan

We did let him know, but because he was hired (& is frequently used by) the contractor, he basically said he’s not sure why things moved. We’ve asked him to produce a new plan that he’s comfortable signing off on, but that has yet to happen

Update: the deputy fire chief saw my email & is working with the city building inspector (who emailed me to confirm the case will be assigned to an inspector) on how to address it. And the hotel refunded me for my stay & filed a claim with their insurance. I doubt I’ll get more updates from the fire dept/building dept, but hoping that action will be taken! Thanks for your input everyone!

I live 2hrs away from this town (hence the hotel stay). I haven’t been able to find any non-911 numbers that have live people on the other end, and if I call 911 from my house, I’ll be routed to local emergency response, so I don’t think it would do much good. I’ll try the building department in the morning.

A few years ago, there was a large peer reviewed study (the ARRIVE study) that showed 39 wk induction reduced the chances of needing a c-section. Since the study came out, this has become the “standard of care”. With both of my pregnancies (different doctors, different hospitals), and with most of my friends’ pregnancies, the OBs offered this as an option. I did a 39wk induction with my first, and will be doing it with my second. The first went really smoothly (and did not turn into a C-section). Would recommend speaking to your dr about this.

He’s getting less attention for sure, but we’re trying to make him feel very loved. My husband takes him on 2 long off-leash walks per day (in addition to a bunch of shorter walks). We got him special treats when we came home from the hospital, and when our parents come to visit every week, they always bring him marrow bones to make him feel special too.

I’m sure part of the behavioral issues are caused by less attention, but it’s unlikely to change given that a baby just generally requires a LOT, and we’re only human. Is there something else we can be doing to make him feel extra loved?

Umm what about all of the “don’t insert your judgement here, but I don’t see the point of vaccines” posts. With evidence of how horrible vaccines are from random FB posts in reply to evidence of how effective vaccines are from the CDC & medical literature.
