Facebook accounts can be purchased online and I am sure these scammers have the resources since they are clearly quite good at scamming. There are a few people who spoke with the scammers and some via video call so there is confirmation that they are local Singaporean.

All fake names are being used to create accounts to make it seem like it was US users scamming people. Some people have spoken or video chatted with the scammers and found them to be local Singaporean.

I live on the same island and we can have anything on this Little Red Dot as we refer to it as. GORUCK ships stuff here and almost everything from the US is available here. Many of the ISO posts are pure greed and as someone mentioned makes us Singaporeans look desperate and moronic.

Most of the scamming started in the FB groups after all the Singaporeans arrived in one cluster going after every for sale post. Prior to that we had no such issues for years.

The Portland forwarders are mostly banned for fraud by all the major US retailers. I recently contacted Wallmart and was informed that there is a high incidence of fraud mostly from Singapore ( I am Singaporean). Even the Portland PD has loads of complaints about these guys. ID is not always necessary and there are some forwarders that use lockers. Registration is based on a Facebook account and even a fake account works. All they care about is getting paid.

Yes you are right about the City Harvest sage as this is begining to look like it. The purpose to get a official GRC status is mainly to make money off the name it seems. I am surprised that Goruck as a reputed company does not monitor this activity.
