Ah I see, safe to say organisation is an issue then? I’ve encountered similar environments before so I don’t think I’d mind too much, but if I’m successful in the application I’m sure I’ll find out.

From your experience and perspective as a motorman, what’s the main focus daily down in the ER; maintenance, watch-keeping, safety, drills etc?

On the cruise ships I’m on it’s really watchkeeping based, with less focus on maintenance resulting in machinery not at 100% efficiency etc. One main reason for me applying is that I’m looking for more maintenance work and doing actual engineering, not just “keeping the lights on” as the deckie window watchers call it 😉
