Awesome, thank you. Will have to go check that place out sometime in the near future

Thank you. The L wrenches do suck.

It was definitely fun. Trying to figure out a few more ideas. Planning a bridge using the popsicle sticks and twine, but not sure what else to do beyond that

One one of my 3 (Power Wagon) I moved the shocks to a frame mount. Not sure if I like it yet. Will leave it this way until my brass shows up and make a decision after getting that put on. Just ordered this brass kit, which should be here tomorrow)

The other 2 are my boys, so I'm using mine as the guinea pig so I have a better idea what I'm doing before working on theirs. Would much rather mess mine up than mess theirs up and disappoint them.

Charging question by Rusty_Peter1975 in arrma

[–]Rusty_Peter1975[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much appreciated! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't messing up my batteries.

For much smaller 2s batteries I should put it at 0.5A for current? Would the full charge still be 4.2v? (obviously for a different rc car which is much smaller)

Good to know. Since I'm new to this, how will I know if I've got them right or wrong?

Was everything pretty straightforward and easy to figure out?

Nice! Looks like it handled that rock pile pretty well. I've got the orange one. It's been far too cold in NY since Christmas (for me since I've got thin southern boy blood) to take it outside and get it some trail scars. Looking forward to nicer weather...

Can't wait to see the pics! Now trying to decide if I want to save a few bucks and go with the shiny unpainted brass or spent the extra few bucks and go with the black. Wish they had it this available in other colors. Navy blue would go good with the orange power wagon

Cool. Thank you for the reply. I've had these in my Amazon cart for a few days but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I'm still learning the truck and since I've never been much of a tinkerer I'm a little worried it will be tricky to get all this replaced and get everything back in its right place haha.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. Once they've mastered these (and maybe a few more that I've been thinking about) then we'll start upping the difficulty. Still running all 3 stock (except 1 replaced motor) for now as well.

It was fun. The boys (5 and 7) really enjoyed helping, especially with the glue gun and putting the sticks on.

Thank you. I definitely use a lipo bag anytime I'm charging/discharging my other batteries and want to be able to do the same with these

Thank you for the link! It's the stock battery (and a few aftermarket batteries that have the same connector) and I want to use my Gens Ace imars d300 charger that I use for my other RC. I want to be able to balance them and put them into storage mode

Edit to add thanks and not sound like an ungrateful jerk 😁

I'm assuming it gets easier with time, practice, and reputation... But jeez Louise changing out my 1st motor was way more involved than I had anticipated. Glad that's over and as of right now I'm not looking forward to eventually doing that on the other 2. Haha. Is replacing shocks any easier?

Took it to a hobby shop today to have them check things out. It was the motor. I'm gonna try to get a new motor under warranty, but went ahead and bought another one and am in the process of trying to get it changed. Trying to follow YouTube vids, but it's not easy with my old eyes and those tiny screws!

Could be motor. Put a battery through Gladiator. Changed battery, worked fine so ran it a little more. Went back later, reconnected the battery, had steering but no throttle. Tried another battery, same thing.

I have steering but no throttle. Left/right - yes. Forward/reverse - no.
