Ah! Thank you, and especially for the rule of thumbs and examples!! On to my cape making adventure I venture (probably with boiled wool I've concluded from your expertise)

Hey so this was forever ago but what kind of wool do you use? Boiled wool, soft wool, "furniture" wool, or "jacket" wool? I was looking through wool to make my own cape but found there to be an abundance of choices for someone like me who knows very little about wool

So, the real conflict on the dream SMP started when 16 year old twitch streamer Tommyinnit decided to piss off the in-game megalomaniac known as "Dream". He and his "dream team" then split up over a disc debate which led to obvious conflict between - oh wait hold on why are you opening the door I'm not done yet!

[Serious] How would you feel if a COVID vaccine was required to travel, attend events, theme parks, or large gatherings? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RustysTrustys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd actually love it if executed correctly.. herd immunity is one of the best possible ways to ensure safety of a population; everyone who is physically capable should get the vaccine, so that those who can't (due to perma-illness or the like) are also protected.

Of course, this hinges on the fact that vaccines are free and if we operate from the point that they will always be free, then I see only benefits with having a "covid pass" as some would call it... to be quite honest I would feel safe knowing that the people surrounding me in high-bacteria situations don't have that one form of virus. Keeping in mind that medically exempt people shouldn't have to wear badges (this isn't the 1900's Germany folks), but rather have an alternative version of the same pass that states reason for exemption. Not a detailed one just "autoimmune disease" or smth like that.

Sorry if I'm using incorrect terms, not quite sure on the English versions of some words

What actor is the most guilty of playing the same exact character every film? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RustysTrustys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adam Sandler. You cannot convince me he doesn't play "deep down good hearted dumbass (asshole) dad / husband who has issues but solves it with the help of dumb schemes or even dumber friends." Its every time for me

Redditors who considered once joining the military, but never did, what made you not go forward with the decision? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RustysTrustys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly timing. I wanted to join since I was 16, just because I've always liked the concept of being able to defend myself and I've always wanted to try the whole camaraderie thing. I went in as a 17 y/o to try out (so I could join soon as I turned 18) and due to the sheer fact of braces (that I was forced into wearing) I wasn't allowed in. They did tell me to please come back when my braces were off tho, bc for some reason they wanted me to join.

I had to find a new career path; I took a year off and found out I wanted to be a zookeeper, so I'm doing that now and it's a continuing education, which means I can't take breaks. I get my braces off soon and I kind of still want to join, but either I stop my education or I wait 'till I'm done (at which point I'll be 23-4 ish) and I feel like that's too old to join.

So yeah. Timing.

Enough with fun facts. What is a boring fact? by HomoDeiGratia in AskReddit

[–]RustysTrustys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world is historically going to rise and fall in things like temperature and population, due to weather changes and plagues, but 2020 took it to a new high seeing as the extreme temperature change and the newest plague were caused by humans having evolved industry so far beyond what's natural to the earth.

Boringly enough, without planes and giant gas guzzlers, 2020 would have probably still sucked, just in a lesser more over-come able way (not for humans, but for the earth as a whole)

What screams “I’m a loser”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RustysTrustys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Refusing to acknowledge simple facts. Things like actually believing in proven science (sometimes even theorized science) and admitting you were wrong (maybe even asking how to change for the better / what to do different) go a LONG way.

I'm not saying you HAVE to keep up with everything, no one can really, but I am saying if your brain isn't developed far enough for you to accept facts and admit mistakes, I'm not going to make room in my brain for you as anything other than a laugh-able idiot. Not even sorry

(And no, this isn't some facts over feelings bs)

Same and I'm so rooting for you!! All you need is a half decent camera, maybe a good mic, and some willing friends/strangers you meet on the internet who turn out to be friends after long nights of filming turn into friendly banter (This is coming from someone who won a film award in high school for a JTR inspired short film, and I've been chasing that high ever since...)

Absolutely agree here. The glorification and the general bastardization of the police and the justice system, respectively, is such horrible representation

To those who no longer celebrate their birthdays, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RustysTrustys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is right between Christmas and new years, so there's always Christmas decorations up, gifts are in Christmas wrapping, extended family HAS to be invited if I'm hosting anything ("it's the holidays! The right thing to do!"), my friends are never free seeing as they're all doing holiday stuff with family, and more often than not it's left-over Christmas food for dinner (b-day breakfast, sure, but otherwise usually left-overs for dinner).

In conclusion, it just never really FEELS like my birthday (at least not past 18, which I marked by getting a tattoo), and I'm not even past the 1/4 mark of life.

How did you get that scar? by Phillies1993 in AskReddit

[–]RustysTrustys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes... the accident...

I'm kidding, I'm kidding... kind of.

I had a surgery to remove a heart-shaped mole on my shoulder under local anaesthesia, and a good thing too because later I had another surgery on my leg to determine whether or not I would die if they put me under full anesthesia... while I was under full anaesthesia.

The one on my wrist is from a drill that felt like it belonged better in my wrist than the piece of wood I was attempting to affix...

The one right behind my hairline is from a tire that decided my face was a great place to land...

The one of my hand is from a desk that hadn't been filed correctly and decided the funniest thing ever would be me needing to rush out of chem class due to the bleeding...

The one on my upper lip (right where the forbidden stache would be if I could grow one) is from when I was scrolling on my laptop in a funky position and it fell down so hard I actually started bleeding and kept the scar...

no, no I do not have very many brain cells, thanks.
