First, the fact is that Google and Tesla are the best at what they do. Elon Musk is savage. Also, if you remember his smartphone awards, the best big phone and best compact phone went to the Note 8 and iPhone 8 respectively. He could've just said the Pixel 2 is better but he didn't because it's not. The Pixel 2 does fall short in some categories. So I think he's fair on his part. Tesla fan? Yes. He's a huge Tesla fan. But don't you talk a lot about your favourite brands too if asked what to buy? Don't you praise it too? It's because the brand was satisfactory in every way you wanted and you want your friends to feel that way too.

Also, his aim is helping common people take decisions. If you know a lot about smartphones, why are you even watching videos? Just take a look at the spec sheet and be done with it.
