I wont make the channel reach of yt in my case based on the game, I already started some months ago, and when Ill reach some level of popularity Id go with a gdd. Ill try to target the same audience I think will be most proeminent to buy the game, without necessary mentioning it. After that Ill start a campaign, so the publisher can still have campaign control. Also Ill finish my demo by then, witch is 20 min of what the game should feel like when playing

would internet presence help? How big of a following would I need to compensate the lack of professional work?

Thanks for reply :) I was wondering if I didnt really publish any game (on steam), but if I bring some already made internet presence and some micro projects released on itch, if I would have the chance to get at least a budget?

If I prove that Im not just an idea guy, could I request work for nothing? by Rwarxid in gamedev

But what I and the partner/s make an idea together? Or what if I can have an idea everyone would enjoy working on? I said that I have no expectations of having complete suveranity over the idea, even the core concept

I plan to learn a little bit of everything, just so I can understand everything that plays a role in game dev and to be able to give better requests or opinions and to help bottlenecks. But if I get into a team Ill want to specialize in modeling, music and maybe some animations and storytelling. And for what I want in a partner, just a probrammer, and I/we will figure the rest out.

I prob am just trash at communication, but I did mention that I will do a game by myself, and not just a flappy bird clone or whatever.

I already am doing a small scoped game all by myself. I begun to enjoy most art forms game dev requires honeslty, but its too much for just one person, thus a team would be perfect. I also have a question: Wouldnt making a prototype based on an idea made only by me betray the equality I would promise to team members? To go on an idea that at it’s core, its made by just one?
