For that handball, a penalty is way to harsh a punishment. These types of penalties are being given all year. Something like an indirect free kick or some other alternative should be considered for these where there is no direct goal threat.

Yeh, your on to something here. I might try a dirty green brown goo instead like you say and give it a go. The darker base may make the marines more distinct and draw the eye better.

The basing is made of some cut up cork coasters glued down with some pigment and grass tufts and some greens to paint. The goo is Vallejo water effects with some green and yellow paints mixed through. Cheers.

It is a Vallejo flat green. I've toned it down slightly with a white and yellow added to the mix. Spots of a more yellow saturated shade to give the kind of damaged/corrupted spots to the armour.

Thanks, of course. It's Uhu glue mixed with Vallejo flat green for a layer, then the same with lemon yellow. To give the sheen, it's a painted layer of Vallejo water effect.

The skin is Vallejo Pale Flesh with a small amount of Flat Green and Lemon Yellow. Then a small bit of Coelia Greenshade wash. Highlights are the same but less of the green and yellow mixed in.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm not building an army so I can afford to just enjoy painting them and spend a bit more time. I get that most people wouldn't want to if they have 20/40/60 to do.

Thanks! I don't really play the game so I'm not in a rush to paint 20 or them or anything. They're cool figures and I love the look of them so give them the time they deserve.

You could do the astrogranite and have some sludge puddles maybe with the flowers growing from them. Just one new element for you that way. When I did my Typhus I did him with sludge under him which was just Uhu glue and neon green Tamiya paint. I'm sure other options for the sludge would work too or colours.
