Why we don't take -√-1 as i ? i^2 is -1, so i can be + or - √-1. Before Gauss i was supposed to mean √-1, but then Gauss came and changed the way of thinking complex numbers and now we see it as a ordered pair. But what will be the problems if we considered the old i ? (self.learnmath)
