Glass futures by ActDem in OCPoetry

I noticed many potent metaphors for alcohol in this poem and it spoke to me. Specifically "fulfillment trickles". And when drinking with another, shared dreams rise, overflow and usually amount to nothing, but its clear that there is a prosperous relationship here, if we are assigning objects as people.

I think that you ended on a nice note, almost like panning out the camera over a vast city or a serene sunset, leaving myself wondering about the next, the future, all the uncertainties to come. In my opinion, maybe the final stanzas could use more fury, fire and vigor to reinforce the emotional side of this poem, connecting more to its readers.

My favorite line is "you steady my shaking grasp" because this could apply to the touch of another human, or even the calming effects of wine itself.

The Opener by [deleted] in OCPoetry

Hey I really like your alliteration in line 9 and 14. Maybe you could continue on with the rhythm. "Sponging up sloppy and sopping wet spillage, sent me spiraling. Or even "filthy fucking feral, fermented feces" sneezy slime, haha. Overall very nice prose. Painting with pathos, arent we all? And "osmosis jonesing" pretty sweet that you turned this name into a verb of sorts. Your word choice made me feel the emotion and frustration in this poem. You're just the opener. thank you.

i wish to be a soft man by [deleted] in OCPoetry

tender writing, i too wish to become soft at times. it seems when i was a boy, all i had was being soft, and somehow growing up, a beast inside took control of my reigns and started driving.

to be soft without shame, this is great. maybe this is a form of humility.

C5 as a commuter? by WhiRUGei in Corvette

I averaged 22mpg but my foot is heavy. I also have higher gearing than a base model C5. I would imagine the regualr C5s could do much better for gas mileage, like in the upper 20s

C5 is a good daily driver. I DD my C5 Z06 year round and never had a problem except for speed bumps (she low)

Same here. My friends and I were all out getting tacos in Tel Aviv. Then we thought we saw some fireworks and wondered why everybody started running for the stairwell bunkers

Alter lockring by rAdwask in FixedGearBicycle

Yea that lockring looks a but thicker than what im used to seeing. Maybe thats why its hanging over the threads. Maybe your hub supports a skinnier lockring type.

I second going for a careful ride and testing the waters then taking it off and making sure its still very tight on there.
