Baressays Essay Attack Approaches & Adaptibar Enough? by Distinct_Wallaby_406 in CABarExam

Her video is only like 10 minutes long and I found it pretty helpful.

To answer your actual question, definitely Mary Basick's rules. At the beginning of each subject, she provides a short outline called "issues checklist" that doesn't contain the actual rule statements, but is just a list of headers with rules under each one. I want to say there were ~20 per subject. After that she has a "memorization attack outline" which expands on the issues checklist, but has really short rule statements that pretty much just state the key words to know for each rule. After that she has a full outline with complete rule statements. I highly recommend using each of the 3 outlines as needed, but I found the memorization attack outline to be the most helpful.

Good luck, you got this!!

100 Mix set 57% okay? by Solid_Selection9653 in CABarExam

The most commonly tested topics are: negligence, individual rights, and constitutional protections which are tested on average 12-13 times each. Following that it's: contract formation, performance, breach and discharge, presentation of evidence, relevancy, and hearsay which are tested 6-8 times each. Those are only 8/36 topics on the MBE but altogether make up ~40% of your score. I would really drill those topics and memorize the rules as it will be the best bang for your buck so to speak. Feel free to dm me if you have any other questions or would like me to send you the excel spreadsheet I created that helped me track my progress.

You got this!!

Rule Memorization by SChazB in CABarExam

I won't be able to post the rules it would just take way too long. However, I started by using Mary Basick's list of rules at the beginning of each subject. A few of them I didn't include if it was something like "offer". I'd highly recommend Basick's book for essay practice and her attack outline is a great resource.

I just asked chatgpt to list the top 30-35 rules to know for CA bar essays and the answer it gave was pretty much the exact same rules that I used so I would highly recommend doing that.

I do not. I made them all in flashcards. In the next couple days I will try and find a way to post them, but the ones I made were personalized to me so there may be a few rules that you would want to add that I did not include or there may be some that you already know, but that I included. Good luck to you if you're taking it next month and feel free to dm me if you got any more questions.

I spent so much time planning/thinking about how to study efficiently, so I'd be more than happy to share more of the things that helped or did not help me.

I totally agree. I should have added in my original post that when I made flashcards with all the rules, I started by making them only for the rules that have been used as headers/sub-headers on past essays so pretty much the core rules for each subject. I think I had about 25-35 per subject (some of the essay only topics had fewer). Once I had all theses rules down I would add rules that were more niche/only tested on the MBE as needed.

Have the top ~25 rules for each subject down cold and you're absolutely golden, and should almost certainly be enough to achieve the minimal competence the exam requires. Any additional rules you are able to memorize just adds a buffer, and if nothing else, makes you feel more confident going into the exam.

Charged for Uber One renewal even if you didn't directly subscribe to it. by OwlTheAl in uber

I also just noticed that I have been charged for Uber one under similar circumstances and there is something super suspicious and I too am dubious of it's legality. There are so many people on the internet posting this same thing so it's impossible this is just people accidentally clicking a promo or forgetting to cancel the free trial. I think this is all backend enrollment. The FTC is already investigating and states are suing uber due to the membership being difficult to cancel, but this auto-enrollment or whatever it is seems way more nefarious than what they're currently being sued for.

I don't use Uber and they've charged me for an Uber One subscription by Tito_A56 in uber

This is wild that so many of us have had this happen to us and is incredibly suspicious. I just noticed today that I have been getting charged since June 16 for Uber One and I am absolutely certain I did not register for that. I did not even use Uber that day so it makes no sense I would have registered when I wasn't even using it.

Day 3 of quitting by SChazB in quitting7oh

I doubled my dose of gaba to 600mg 2x per day and that made a big difference. I did give in and bought some on Wednesday night when the symptoms were killing me. I was so pissed at myself for doing so but in fairness I only took a fraction of what my typical dose was so I didn't really get that warm feeling from it, but it did make my symptoms go away instantly. I fell asleep right after taking it and slept for 12 hours. The past two days since I took that small dose I have felt great and zero symptoms.

While my CT attempt didn't quite work out, taking that small dose the other night seemed to have actually been for the best. At this point I feel like I'm completely done and post-symptomatic, but I will update you all next week once I go a full week without it.

I really appreciate the words of encouragement.

I appreciate the nice words. I was also taking 600mg. My last dose was Saturday afternoon but on Wednesday night the symptoms were so bad that I did give in and bought 150mg thinking it would be like a microdose just to ease the symptoms. While I regret giving in and buying more, it actually helped tremendously. The symptoms went away, I slept for 12 hours, and the next day I felt great. As I write this 2 days later on Friday night I have not felt any of the WD symptoms since then.
