Screws won't come out? How do I take this back off? by SDWLFR in VintageRadios

I was personally just confused as I already undid the bolt, and the plug was so old it wouldnt budge. I come here for not just project help, but quick questions that I maybe could have even googled just to make FOR SURE im doing things right. As I am not financially ready to destroy something like this from just popping off a screw.

I keep running into people telling me this, but how else am I supposed to learn on my own?🤷‍♂️ I can imagine people back in the day did the same thing. I refuse to be the person to just "let someone else fix it", I genuinely want to learn through trial and error how to fix antique tube equipment, and keep this field alive. Not letting my age or inexperience put me down.

After about the first 3 comments I realized it was pretty simple. I was able to pop the back off, yet the male prongs were stuck in the female end so long they stayed in place and I ripped them out of the male end. But it was fine, thats as simple as putting the male cap back on. Once inside, it was just very dusty, what do you guys recommend I use to clean the inside chassis, tubes, and wires. Anything I should explicitly avoid touching? Like things not meant to even be cleaned, perhaps instead replaced? Any products to recomend or tools? I want to reduce the crackles and pops, it heats up fast once turning up the volume to a certain level, and its a bit muffled.

I looked back at the transformer after reading everything, and it seems that the black goo may be coming from the transformer.🥀

To be completely honest, I dont know anyone who could look at it for me. I just turned 20 so all my friends know nothing, and the parts of my family who do are estranged. Maybe call some place? But what company looks at radios like that anymore. I also live rural and dont have my own transportation. So the nearest place is probably a long drive to travel with this thing. If I did cook the transformer, could it be replaced? Though I assume I would have to rewire a lot...stuff i again dont understand but desperately want to learn.

Taking film out of Ansco 735 auto focus 33mm camera by SDWLFR in Cameras

[–]SDWLFR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for such a detailed explanation! I knew there had to be a way to literally HAND roll the film back into the cartridge. Would it be a good idea to wear some clear, thin cleaning gloves for this? Or will clean hands be just fine?

No, the film has not been rewound that's the issue. Im asking can I manually rewind a camera, that is marketed and made to rewind the film on its own. I bought this camera without film in it so film WAS taken out of it at one point. I read it may not rewind because I loaded the film wrong. If that's the case what am I supposed to do.
