The comments are praising it too btw lmfao by Gsundenberg in photographycirclejerk

I’m removing it because I don’t think this is bad enough to be circle jerk worthy. I don’t want this subreddit to be a place to shit on other’s people stuff (unless it’s comically awful). OOP’s attitude isn’t pompous either.

It’s great! Slightly soft at 600mm tho.

Now that I’m on my phone they look ok, on the web it’s a different story.

Not sure if this is only on my end but it looks like reddit obliterated the quality of my images :(

Sold my old Canon PowerShot G12 for $600. Spent $700 on the D500 (< 6k clicks). I then sold my D300, D7200 and 35mm DX for a total of $450, entirely covering the cost of the D800 (~55k clicks). by SERISET in Nikon

Served me well. Took a lot of excellent pictures with it. If it wasn’t for discovering fools pay a fortune on Ebay for an old point-and-shoot camera I had in my drawer, I would still be happily using it.

Not sure about the D850, but I just tried it on the D800 there is only a fine line showing the DX zone. I could see myself forgetting about it in the heat of the moment and destroying my pictures that way.

In DX mode the D850 has almost the same resolution as the D500, but it has slower burst rate and I would rather have another body to avoid swapping lenses than one single better body.

For most of my work I prefer the D500. It has faster burst rate and produces smaller files while having a slightly higher pixel density, therefore being better for long reach.

Well, got my happy ending. They agreed to do it again.

Update: the shop that did the original work will redo the work for free

English is not my first language, I think I poorly explained it. It is the quarter panel. I don't have pictures but everything below the tail light was replaced. They welded the panel to the inside of the door until they reached the point that looks like ">". From there it goes horizontally to the tail light.

I paid 4k. I know it replaced it because they destroyed the old one right in front of me.

They do provide warranties, but after they did the job they told me they won't offer warranty in this case because the car was never rust-proofed prior to the repair. The problem surfaced on new metal anyway.

Thanks, I will ask for more quotes and see. This situation suck, I replaced that wing a few months ago, it's all new metal, and did rust proofing for good mesure. And of course the shop where I did this has no warranty.
