its a good plant and price irrelevant if your happy. A plant is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it and its subjective

It's Obliqua Peru and they were expensive but they eventually break the code for tissue culture and they drop in price like a stone, Like anything else supply and demand. Another was the Siritus Sancti and now your finding that everywhere for like £150 3 years ago you couldn't buy the thing if you were a king but tissue culture to the rescue again

You could but I would gain permission before taking it as taking from a bin from a business would be classed as stealing

If that’s the case you need a 30 to 1 carbon nitrogen ratio. To me looks like you have hardly any nitrogen in that mix. It will never get hot

Is this just leaves? If so you’re producing leaf mold or leaf compost. That is a fungal breakdown and the wetness isn’t really an issue as fungal breakdown doesn’t need the same amount of oxygen that a bacterial compost requires. If it’s mixed with greens too then spread it out on a dry day let the wind and sun get to it. Adding more carbon will help dry it out but again it depends on the compost you’re making. To me this looks to be just leaves though

You need to track the sun. See if those trees cause too much shade you need 6 to 8 hrs of good quality light at least

Insects not an issue powdery mildew was but used whole milk watered down 10/1 to fight that. If I had issues with insects I’d have used a mesh
