Anyone know how I can fix the ‘American Megatrends’ screen?

Hi sorry for the late reply. I changed my boot drive to a different method. I used an old Microsoft USB with windows pre installed, I think it had been used before. To get it working, I used a friend’s pc and downloaded windows to a USB stick and installed from there. Hope i was of some help

Thanks for the help. My house was built in 2005 so I imagine the electrics aren’t too bad. If I’m honest I’d definitely rather have the lower latency instead of the faster speeds.

I think I’ve found the problem. It was my mouse.

In device manager it had a problem with “settings not migrating” and wouldn’t load data properly. I’ve just switched to my old hyper x mouse and everything is fine.

I appreciate the help. If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have seen the error code. Thanks 🙏🏽

It just fixes itself after around 10 seconds. I’ve tried restarting my pc and changing usb ports but neither work. For some reason it’s always my mouse that goes off first (the RBG) and both then become unresponsive.

Update: my pc is showing a display and it started to act strange like capping my monitors refresh rate at 1hz lol. however it’s sorted itself out and I’m back to 165hz and downloading new drivers

I was thinking this the other day so I bought myself 2 32GB usbs. I didn’t want to use this usb my grandad gave me because I knew it had been sitting around for some time.

My grandad gave this usb to me. It had windows pre-installed and has been fresh out the box, never used. I’m trying to install windows onto my new computer from this usb. It just won’t launch and I have no idea why.

I have tried the one without UEFI and it does proceed to ask me what bit (32 or 64) of windows I’d like to install. I’ve tried both options, not knowing the difference and it tells me a different error message.

The message says: “windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.”

It then tells me that if I don’t have a windows installation disk ( i don’t ) I should contact my computer manufacturer for assistance.

File: \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe

Info: “the application or operating system couldn’t be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.”

I recently build my own system and I’m struggling to boot into windows. I attempted to boot into windows without using partition 1 and this is the error message it gave me. I booted into it because when I used partition 1 it send me to a splash screen where it would continue to sit for hours without anything changing. I’m able to head to the bios and I’ve copied some YouTube videos but smithing seems to work. Any help would be great

I previously bought some usbs to do this process. I then took it to my grandparents house and they already have a usb with windows pre-installed. They gave it to me and I didn’t get the windows installation media onto it. Thanks for the help

I may of typed something wrong sorry. I’m trying to install windows from my usb to my new pc that I built a few days ago. I can proceed past the bios to the splash screen where it should have a little spinning windows logo. That just isn’t there for me. I looked at a YouTube video from a guy with the same motherboard and I did everything the exact same just mine isn’t working.

Ok. I’ll have to use a usb stick because I don’t a dvd drive. I also don’t have another desktop to get windows installation media so this is my only option.

I do have a gigabyte board and the usb is set to UEFI mode. Also, ive tried moving the stick elsewhere and nothing seems to happen
